Pros:

Decent shot selection
Elevation

Cons:

Very small park with not enough room for a 9 hole course to tell the truth
Shots down sidewalks

Other Thoughts:

This was temp course used for the Black Friday Flex C-tier tournament after Thanksgiving. The City wants to install this little 9 hole course across the Duck River from the Disc Golf Store.

This course may be "tweeked" before it is installed, this review will be on the course we used for the tournament.

Hole 1 would make a better hole 9 finishing hole. You have a narrow fairway with a large hill with a road on top and a road on your left. All OB. I saw several players, including myself, throw into the road on the left, even had one guy turn it over into the road on top of the hill. The green is big enough with a fence behind it, the hill on one side and the park road on the other. While a top pro might be able to get a 2 on this, a 3 is very good, and a 4 is doable if you keep from going out of bounds.

Hole 2 throws from a sidewalk and has an OB and across sidewalk down the middle of the fairway to a basket sitting between the sidewalk and shed. Very easy 2 with the right shot. Throw OB and your back at the drop zone next to the first electric poll.

hole 3 is a great little crazy hole. it's only 150ft, but sidewalk and across plays OB. You are literally throwing from OB, I even had to re-tee my first round due to not coming in bounds. On your left is a very steep hill with this rough. The green is very nice and hidden from view from the tee. I even witness one guy miss his putt and fly all the way to the bottom of the hill.

hole 4 throws from the top of the hill down to a basket with water on the right and past the basket. The sidewalk here was not played OB.

Holes 5, 6 and 7 are all almost the same. shots from the sidewalk where you can try to throw a tight hyzer down the sidewalk or and bigger anhyzer into the open. These are must get birdie holes to score well.

Hole 8 is a wide open longer shot with the road and across being OB. This is another one you have to make it across or re-tee. (yea, missed it in my 2nd round)

Hole 9 is just a simple 500+foot shot in the wide open. Easy 3 with a good upshot. There is the OB road on the left, but I didn't see anyone throw into it.

In general, I think this could be a fun little 9 hole course with just moving a few tee boxes or baskets.

In my opinion, I would have hole 1 be what was hole 2. Leave this hole the same. Hole 3 move the tee to the bottom of the hill. I would not change hole 4 from what it is right now, it's a good hole. The next few holes might be moved slightly with maybe moving the basket back a little on hole 7 Hole 8 I would move to the other side of the road from where it is now. There is a nice tunnel shot there between the park road and the river. Then hole 8 I would have tee more back between the road and park boundary and have it throw down towards the park entrance.

I was told by one person this area gets swampy, that would make this hole unplayable a lot of the time. But I would look at it at least. it's just a long walk from basket 9 to hole 1 tee box. If you have to leave hole 9 where it is, then leave the numbering system the way it is.

Would I play here again? yes, if this course gets put in the ground and I am in the area, I want to play it again for fun and to see what changes were made. As it is, keep an eye out to see when it gets installed.
