Great Kids Disc Golf Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 31, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Excellent for young kids
-Great baskets
-East to follow, great signage
-A and B tee pads for each hole
-Clean and tidy
-Restrooms nearby
-Parking at hole 1

Cons:

-No elevation change

Other Thoughts:

What a unique course. If I were attending the elementary school across the street, I would skip classes and play this all day long. You read that right- I'd skip class as a 1st grader.

Top notch tiny brick tee pads, beautiful Mach 5 baskets, cool lizards scurrying around, and about zero to one tree in each fairway to give a hint of a challenge.

On the other hand, if you're not six years old, I would make sure to read the reviews before playing. The course is so small it makes Pioneer Park in Stayton seem huge. You can make it around in 8-10 minutes, maybe 15 if you play both sets of tee pads. Grab your putter and leave your bag in the car.

Things to change? I would make each hole a par 3 instead of par 2's (more fun to get lots of birdies). And I would love to see some raised baskets to add a little spice.

Fun little course. The kids in Bend have a good one here.

Exactly what it is! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

It's a put and approach course. Plain and simple. And whoever designed it made it exactly that! Fun, simple layout, small space, quick play, good skills variety to practice. Play it once in 15-20mins, or jog through 3-4 times in an hour. I also like the variety between the A and B tee boxes for each of the nine holes. I like holes 5B 7A and 9A. A little hint, most of the A tee boxes are to the RIGHT of the last basket, and B box's are to the LEFT.

Baskets are also double chain brown and silver. Looks nice in the area too!

Cons:

Nope. None. Expert level players could even have fun to see how many they could ace.

Other Thoughts:

Might be a good warm up before you play Pine Nursery, it's only a few minutes away.

Great Little Putting Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 2, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is really nice if all you are looking for is some short-range holes.

It's a putting course, so if you are expecting something more, then obviously you'll be disappointed. For what it is designed to be, I think its a really great course. A decent variety of obstacles, varying short length throws, and baskets that are in great shape. It's a tiny course, but fun nonetheless.

Cons:

I really can't think of any. Just don't choose this course if you want long range holes.

Other Thoughts:

There are two places to throw from at each hole so it's nice if you want to play through more than once.

Probably The Preeminent Putting Course In The World! 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 20, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

At the start of the little Rockridge Disc Golf Course in Bend is a sign reading Disc Golf Putting Course. I have no idea why anyone would spend this kind of money on a putting course but it's actually kind of a cool, unique discing experience. There are 9 very pretty chocolate colored, Mach V baskets. They look scrumptious enough to snack on. The pads are small 3' x 3' patio blocks with the hole # and length engraved on one of the blocks. There are two pads for each basket, an A and a B. The lengths range from 45' to 142'. Some baskets are placed strategically behind the small trees forcing to you to putt a severe angled hyser or anhyser. # 6A is 62' but you have to putt it low under some Pine tree branches. The lengths are split up evenly between the A and the B pads so I can't say that one is easier than the other.

The small course plays through high desert scrub with some scattered medium sized trees. Some holes are just 65' straight in putts while some require a little more finesse.

Cons:

Some players won't need anything beside their putter although others may want to bring along a mid-range.

Longest hole is 142'.

Course is flat.

There are no water hazards or Girls Scouts selling cookies.

Other Thoughts:

Beside just a practice putting course, I think this would be a great place for an Ace race competition. I think it would be a blast for 4-5 or 6 players to show up, each with a wad of $1 bills in their pocket. For each Ace you record, everyone gives you a buck. You could make it even more interesting by making everyone play out the hole and for each 3 you get, you would have to put a dollar in the pot for refreshments afterwards. Even on this tiny course, players will occasionally record a three if you brush a tree and don't have a clear putt for the two.

Before you ridicule this little course, you might want to give it a chance. There is no better course to bring a six year old to. I think my wife could actually par some of these holes.
