*I played here when snow was still on the ground; and my arrival time was towards the end of the day. So, I was in a bit of a hurry, and based on the owner recovering from some surgery; I had to navigate the course relatively quickly, by myself.*
Owner said, "I couldn't believe it when you showed up, on arguably the "worst day of the year" to play!
...keep all of that in mind, with my review...
While one can see the efforts made to mark the course, regarding navigation, (and it was very much needed, or it would be rather impossible to find your way around at all...) it is not marked well enough to avoid navigation errors; as of late April 2017.
(I spoke with the owner for a while; after I played; and per his estimation; I "missed the best three holes" of the course.)
In other words, navigation is not easy, even with the efforts made to help. (I've been navigating the toughest of navigation issues for many years and am at least, decent, at it.)
I am positive I missed a couple of holes. (I played a few, extra, "made up" holes to equal 18.) It is difficult to find your way about, in a number of areas. And, with some baskets being used more than once; this compounds the tough...where to go next...decisions.
Owner did say he would have given me the tour, had he been physically able. So, ask...and this issue may be able to be avoided.
As I played it, the course is short, in general. (Though, again, owner said I missed "the three longest holes".)
It was easy to find discs off the fairway at the no growth time of year, that this review pertains to:
However, (and I mentioned to owner, who said they've been expanding fairway width since day one and plan to continue to do so); fairways are quite narrow and the rough is going to be thick and rough.
My feeling is that you can be one foot off the intended fairway here; during normal growth season and be searching on many of the holes.
Baskets are portables; that serve this type of course fine; but are not public course, permanently mounted style.
