Baskets: All new baskets in great condition and because they are painted bright yellow, easy to spot when playing a longer hole where you may not be sighted off the tee.

Tee signs: At every tee, there is a clear map of what challenge awaits you next.

Astro Mats: I am aware this is a work in progress with not all installed yet, but the ones which are give confidence when making your tee shot

Views: The views across the city (especially hole 5), are superb.

Use of woodland: There are some superb wooded areas (along side hole 7) within this park which seem to have been completely overlooked. This has left holes 5-7 being quite samey up and down a large grassy area. Yes this area is quite exposed to the wind, but couldn't one hole be moved into the woods to give a different challenge?

Next tee arrows: I found navigation a bit of a challenge here (especially hole 2 to 3 & 4 to 5) as there are no next tee arrows inside the baskets. Even a simple stake in the ground could solve this

Hole Descriptions:

Hole 1: Throw across the valley to the basket on the other side. I suggest a spotter on the path (OB) as cyclists can fly down this slope with little warning

Hole 2: A downhill hole, but a blind throw from the tee. Check for sunbathers before throwing. Also be aware of the OB around the basket.

Hole 3: A long Par 4, which sweeps round though an old Oak corridor. With the path one side and the road the other, this is a difficult hole to get right. Also the tee seems very close to the low wall, I had to be careful not to fall down it whilst making my run up. Be careful.

Hole 4: A deceptively long hole, which starts with a throw up through a coppice, but then opens out into a lovely daffodil glade. I almost lost my disc (silly option using a yellow one)

Hole 5: A deceptive short hole, from a wind protected tee. On my visit there was a strong right to left wind blowing which made disc control difficult. If the wind had been the other direction the play area might have come into play.

Hole 6: This hole seemed very forced. Literally playing back down the grass you have just played hole 5 on but the other side of the path. Without the extreme wind today this should have been a simple throw down to the basket.

Hole 7: Another standard straight hole along the same grassy area. A few small trees to avoid. A great hole to test a roller out, but no real challenge.

Hole 8: Someone completely different here. An island green to hit off of an elevated tee. Add in the school kids being an expectant gallery on the tennis court behind. This is a difficult hole to get right. Is there a mando on the lamppost in front of the tee?

Hole 9: A downhill hole, with 2 path crossings. OB left which shouldn't come into play. The basket is protected by a small copse of trees

Located in Glasgow's highest park the course provides amazing views of Glasgow. Course has brand new Lat 64 Pro Baskets which are easy to see. Hole range from up hill, down hill, Island (paths OB) wooded and open holes. The course has two challenging par 4 and seven par 3s. The tees are high quality Astro Mats. Tee markers and signage being installed in Spring

keeps you fit walking up and down the hilly course. Most holes have public paths running along them so need to keep an eye out for walkers.

I've been informed that beginner tees will be installed in the spring and local schools will be using the course as part of their P.E. program.

The Glasgow Disc Golf Club has done a great Job installing this course. In my opinion the best 9 hole course in Scotland
