Seventh Mountain Resort is one of these mega resorts that seemingly has everything visitors could hope for, everything from swimming, golf, tennis, horseback riding, horseshoes, automatic weapons training, basketball, etc. The disc golf course plays in the area on both sides of the main entrance to the resort. This is a great area for a little resort course with green grass and scattered trees. There is a sign at the beginning stating that all guests should check in at the adventure center.

# 1 starts close to the horse corral. The signs are very basic showing the hole # and the distance. The tee pads are natural and show signs of use by being quite rutted out. The day I played, they had filled with water from the irrigation sprinklers and were quite slippery. After slipping, I just teed off from the side. The baskets are Discatchers with the yellow band and #. # 1 is just a straight 100' Ace run. # 2 is a 309' right turning hole to a basket set very near the corral. Ah, smell those horses! # 3 plays 272' to a basket set between two trees. Cross the resort entrance street and # 4 tee is here. It's a straight fairway through the trees with the highway on your right. # 5 is a short 190' throw between two trees. 6 and 7 now play through a more rustic, undeveloped part of the resort. # 6 is 201' But the basket is protected by low hanging Pine branches. # 7 plays over the resort's dumping area for yard waste and grass clippings. It's not attractive but is probably the most challenging hole here. Hole 8 plays 202' heading back and then # 9 plays across this other small lawn area.

Unlike some other resorts course I've reviewed lately that totally miss their target audience, Seventh Mountain is just perfect for the inexperienced resort disc golfer. It's a low stress course, easy to follow and giving beginners a decent chance of success.

Tee pads are dirt and are rutted from use. They're also slippery when wet.

Undeveloped area is kinda ugly as it's used as a dumping area for branches grass clippings.

It's great that they are so welcoming here. There's a sign at the end near the number nine basket that reads, "Thanks for playing. Please join us in Season's Restaurant or Rim Rock Bar for Food & Drinks." Wow, is this resort that friendly that they are are inviting disc golfers for complimentary food and drinks after playing their course? I'm in.

This might not be the perfect resort course but it's mighty close. Pitch & Putt distances, clearly marked, almost no underbrush to negotiate and close to everything makes this one inviting course. Add on the free food and drinks at the Seasons Restaurant and at the Rim Rock Bar and I'm a customer for life!

I lived very close to Seventh Mountain and played it frequently during the week to practice my upshots and putting. If you set your expectations appropriately, this is a solid little 9 hole pitch and putt. I would often play it with only a Wizard and a Buzzz, and it is easy to play 18-27 holes in an hour or less. It makes great use of the space that's available and feels pretty well designed. It even has a mini "top of the world" shot. I've gotten countless aces here, and you can run pretty much every hole. If you are headed to play Bachelor, this is a great place to warm up your arm before-hand.
