Pros:
Sibley DGC is a cute park like 9 hole course behind the fairgrounds in the small town of Sibley in Northwest Iowa.
Nice course map at the start showing overall layout and hole distances.
Teepads are natural, baskets are discatchers in decent condition, though have seen better days.
Course plays in a "lollipop" fashion, out and back right to left, no navigation issues in this little park.
Some shot shaping required, but most average players should have no trouble getting their par.
Beginner friendly and a nice flat park to throw and stroll around in.
Not much chance to lose a disc but for the holes 6-8 if one were to really shank it off to the right although the tree line seemed thick enough to prevent much penetration.
Cons:
The course also is a campground. Most fairways play right through campsites (you might notice the utility poles in the pics). There were no campers when I played although the folks there for the horse show had trailers parked on a few holes.
Hole 6 seemed to be pretty overgrown and there was a tree down on hole 8, otherwise the park was nicely mowed and in overall fine condition.
Other Thoughts:
I debated on whether to post pics since there are not usually horse trailers parked on some of the holes, but figured they give a good idea of what the holes look like anyway.
First time I've had the chance to pause mid-round and watch some kind of horse show. Don't know much about that world but it was fun watching them race back and forth, and the sizable crowd was certainly into it.
