Pros:
While staying at the Lost Mine campground we came across this beautiful course that I really learned to like. It is a private course and it's open for people who stay at the Lost Mine Campground. There are multiple baskets that run up-and-down the edge of a beautiful creek. It was easy and fun to come up with 18 different shots. My favorite was a basket right next to a gorgeous waterfall. Most of the fairways actually play over a road, but there is not much traffic on this dead end road. With that being said, one does need to be aware of vehicles. You will want to play with shoes you do not mind getting wet. If your disc goes into the creek, there is not enough of a current to wash it away, so it's very easy to find and we actually played out of the creek. There is no out of bounds here.
This is a small and very unique private course. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that you would find or expect from a municipal public course. With that being said, this course was a lot of fun, and with world-class mountain biking, white water rafting, kayaking and hiking also available, this was a great place to vacation. If you're looking for more of a traditional course, there is a true world-class course at Fontana Village just 40 minutes away.
