Pros:
Skagit Adventist School up in northern Washington state is just a few blocks off of Interstate 5. The 9 hole course plays in the wooded area behind the school as well as crossing over the soccer field twice. The course is actually called the Timberwolves Disc Golf Park. Well OK, I guess. Starting at the corner of the back parking lot, you'll find a nice big, colored course map. The metal tee signs give you all the information you'll need along with a picture of the hole. I think you tee off from the parking lot on #1. The remaining 8 holes have carpet pads. They're adequate, not especially smooth and probably a tad on the short side.
# 1 is a 252' par 3 with the basket set in between a couple of mature Fir trees. The baskets are a very pretty deep blue by Dynamic Discs. Most have a golf type flag on the top. Some baskets had a wooden arrow hanging below pointing to your next tee pad. They were helpful but not really necessary.
Only one hole stretched over 300' (# 5 at 321'). Two were under 200' (# 7 at 160' and 9 at 163). The others were all in the 200' range. # 4 and 8 share a carpeted tee pad. 5 and 6, unfortunately, play back and forth across the soccer field.
Cons:
There really aren't any major negatives here. It's a simple 9 hole rec course. The terrain is a mix of wooded area and the grassy field.
Other Thoughts:
In conclusion to this most pedestrian like review, this is a nice little school course, most suitable for those players playing with a single disc. Enjoy this most excellent course and be well, Dudes! For extra credit, guess which reviewer just watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure?
