Cool investment by non-disc golf company

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 2, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Nice Dynamic Discs baskets. All were in good shape and caught well. Would be nice if they were numbered to aid in navigation.
+Tee areas were marked with flags. Better than nothing but see cons for more tee comments.
+The property is not far from the Crow River and is made up of rolling hills. These hills definitely make the course much better than a flatter course of similar length and tree cover.
+A pond comes into play on holes 2 and 3.
+Shouldn't lose a disc here unless you throw a really bad shot on 2/3.
+Fun for a quick round, especially if you work at SNS and can get a round in during lunch.
+Really cool that a smaller company would put a course on their property and allow the public to play it.
+Definitely some good ace possibilities for many players. Some of these holes are good risk/reward type with fast greens. A close ace run could end up being a long put. Angles of approach and landing need to be thought about carefully.

Cons:

-Tees are natural and are just marked with flags. Hopefully they have plans to mark the tee areas more permanently at a minimum.
-No signage at all and the baskets weren't numbered. This is a course that pretty much requires the use of that other app to know that you are at the right tee and to know which basket to throw at.
-The property is pretty small and you can always see multiple baskets. If too many groups were playing, it could get dangerous as fairways get pretty close to each other often.
-The course is overall on the shorter side but there are a few holes that seemed to be over 300.
-Not too many trees on the course. I did play in December when all the leaves were fallen as well. That probably minimizes the trees as well.
-The course plays pretty close to the road and business parking lots. I kept the discs on the soft surface but errant throws could hit cars or business vehicles.

Other Thoughts:

+The course has a decent fun factor with the elevation changes and it has room for improvement in its infrastructure. It is rated modestly but with signs, tees, and a tree or two, it could easily become a 2.5-3 if done well. However, if the tee flags disappear, it could also devolve into a 1.
