Pros:

It's safe to say if you're playing at Spring Hill, you're trying to play here. You're not stumbling upon this course.
- For what it is, it's perfectly fine. A course installed for an Eagle project. And it's better than some other courses I've played. Even on the same day.
- For a first time install, designers did an excellent job. They successfully found a challenge (to varying degrees) on each hole. Even on holes #1 & 2, you could hit the shed or fence.
- First two holes are essentially throw-away, short, simple hole. From #3 on, each hole has some level of challenge and/or variance to it.
- #3 is the longest hole on the course at approximately 350 feet. #4 & 5 play around the edges of a ball field and its fence. #6 – 8 all are wooded. And #9, throws over a school road, with a retention pond in play for any shot straying to the right.
- For a course without any signage, it's easy to navigate. Tee are marked by white concrete blocks, all of which are located near the prior hole's basket.
- Good course for beginners and students. I can see this course getting lots of usage by students. It's a compelling enough layout plus I didn't see much else around here for them to do.
- Room in the front of the school in the wooded area past #9 to modify the course if ever considered.
- I'm only posting this course on DGCR and not UDisc. We'll see who relies on this site for their course info.

Cons:

Baskets are GSE Pro portable baskets. They're in good shape now because they're brand new. Give it a couple years and I have major concerns about their quality.
- I won't be critical of the layout because it was done for an Eagle Scout project. Call these suggestions instead.
- I would get rid of the current hole #1, and possibly the second hole too. Then, add another hole or two in the wooded section where #9's basket is located. #1 has players throwing around a storage shed, a blind tee shot to a basket in an open field.
- Another aspect of removing the first two holes would allow for a better flow to the course.
- Course would greatly be improved if baskets and tee markers had numbers on them. Spray paint numbers on the tee markers is a simple task. Stickers on the baskets should also be a simple task.
- Close to nothing else really. Stopped here on my way back from a day of disc golf in Fayetteville back to Charlotte.

Other Thoughts:

Spring Hills is a pleasant, kid-friendly school course.
- I can't remember the last time I found a course that was only listed on DiscGolfScene, and not DGCR or UDisc. But, for some reason this course was only on there.
- With this course not on a main road, there's a good chance nobody would find out about this place. Maybe that was by design. Instead, I'm sharing this to the dozens and dozens who use this site instead of UDisc, and the ones and ones who might actually be in the area to play here.
- For a regular player, most holes are birdie-able or ace run-able. You'll need a little bit of an arm to reach the basket on #3.
- It would have been nice to see the retention pond to the right of #9 come more into play. Even if it's a simple 140-foot hole over the pond, it would give a cool look. Although, I do get the concerns of having students potentially going there trying to retrieve discs. Let's call it an alternate tee position.
- You're a bagger if you drive out of your way to play here. You're also a DGCR user and not a UDisc user.
