-Some trees to work around, a couple of "rough" areas to stay out of
-Water not in play unless really errant shot on #4
Cons:

-No benches / trashcans
-Can get waterlogged around #9 basket and #2 tee
Other Thoughts:
Spring Lake Park DGC is located in Spring Lake State Park, a few miles NE of Jefferson, IA. An above average park style course with large trees to work around and a glancing look at a finger of the lake. Moderate lengths here will work for the novice to the intermediate player. There are a couple of unmowed "rough" areas to stay out of (#4 near the lake, #8 line right over and again #9 with errant right throw). Lines overall are mostly open. Top notch signage next to concrete pads is nice, although the pads are a little small. First time I played here, lower area around #9 basket and #2 tee box was a little waterlogged, but this time out, all was dry (as Iowa is in the midst of drought). The park also has paddleboats and canoes to rent in the summer and an old style roller skating rink open on summer Saturday nights. Decent camping and a couple of cabins, too, I think. Back to the course, adding a bench or two and some trashcans would be nice. A lengthening of those tee pads would add as well. A nice peaceful getaway, with an enjoyable round of disc golf. I will probably play again.
