18 hole course with two pads and two baskets to each hole, creating four unique layouts. Course has a couple of fairly open holes mixed in with a number of tight, classic New England style holes. Tight tunnels, long backhand/forehand bombs, ace runs, you name it, Sunnymede offers it. Baskets are Prodigy and are in fair condition. Tee pads are concrete and in great condition. Beautiful signage on each hole at the long (blue) pad. Good use of elevation. Hole 5 has a green basket placement in an open shed, and hole 17 plays through a coop/barn of some sort, and it's not everyday that you get to play these types of holes (unless you live here). Extremely well maintained, and totally worth the $10 a round fee.

Holes 1 and 18 play with an OB marsh area that can be thick and swampy after rainfall (not an issue when I played, just something to be wary of). A couple of the holes play really close to each other, so if the course is busy, then keep an eye out for other discs/groups. No tee signs at the green (short) pads. 15's green pad is really short, watch the run up (hole is only 150', may not really even need the run up).

Privately owned and operated, and the owner does a fantastic job with upkeep, and it clearly shows. This course is a must play in SE MA, and is worth your time if you're heading towards Cape Cod. Go feed your need at Sunnymede.

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful setting. Creative layout and use of natural and man made features. Variety of shots required. Nice warm up area. Every hole including short tees have a solid concrete or paver tee pad. Very well maintained.

Some fairways are close to each other but this did not affect our round because it was not super busy. Could use porta potty near parking lot. Could use tee signs at short tees. We were told they are on the way.

Met the owner. Nice guy who was willing to talk about improvement. We would play here a lot if we lived closer, but if you are looking for a new experience and a place that is worth the extra drive time this is it!

The space is used very creatively to create fun holes, especially the greens, resulting in several unique and memorable holes. A couple of fairways carry beautifully over stone walls to pristine greens tucked behind. Love the hole 3 green in a little grove with unique trees. The hole 5 green in an old shed with missing walls is great, as are the hole 15 baskets that hang 7 feet off the ground, and the elevated hole 16 baskets that are perched on a scenic hill looking over a field. And I love hole 17 through the barn. It's one of those holes where if you happened to just walk through a barn like that you'd think "imagine if this were a disc golf hole". Well, Sunnymeade actually did it!

2 tees X 2 baskets per hole = 4 ways to play. This is always a great way to maximize variety within space.

Nice variety of open air and trees. For example 1, 5, and 18 are WIDE open with no trees at all. 3 and 6 only have trees once you get to the green. 17 is through an open air barn to the triple-mando door to get out. And a lot of other holes are totally in the woods because hey this is still New England Great mix.

Good difficulty spread. Green-to-green is beginner-friendly enough for anyone so feel free to bring people here for their first rounds. Blue-to-blue is one of the easier hard layouts in Massachusetts IMO so if you're like 950+ this course isn't exactly going to test your limits but it certainly won't be boring either.

Almost impossible to lose discs. Wooded holes are not leafy so discs are always visible on the ground. Amazing job mowing the field holes, that has to be a ton of work. There's a couple of holes where you can veer into fenced-off neighboring property where you can't go, but these are well-marked and obvious so just don't suck .

The signs are really well done, indicating the location of both tees and both baskets and the distance for all four combos on every sign. Sweet!

The owner came out and talked to us and was very nice.

Tightness of course. Overall it really isn't so bad... I've played other places that are much worse in this regard. But still you just need to be extra cautious in a few places. There are two sets of two holes that share a field for a fairway with an OB line drawn down the middle of the field. There are a couple of tees that are too close to other fairways, most notably the tee for green 6 which is actually in the middle of the fairway for blue-to-blue 5. So if you're on the blue 5 tee you have to wait for people playing green 5 to not only hole out of 5 but also to drive and then walk off from 6. You just have to be patient and extra conservative about teeing off in a couple of places. It's especially tempting to think "I'm not going to hit them" when they're not even playing on your hole, but yes you could most definitely hit them hard, so you really gotta have some self-control here sometimes.

About half the green tees don't have tee boxes. The footing is bad on the ones that don't. One tee is an actual sandbox, several are hilly and rooty and you can't really do anything besides a standstill. The rooty/hilly ones are also unmarked other than a single horizontal wood beam, making them hard to find. There should at least be little flags or even just a printed sign... something to convince you that you're actually on the tee. The first 6 green tees all have nice poured concrete boxes so you think that's what you're gonna get the whole way, and then they stop coming and it's confusing. So if you play green tees you'll get a bit less love from the course than if you play blue tees.

There's at least 5 holes that are instantly and unmistakably identifiable as Sunnymeade, which makes the place special. You will remember these holes clearly after playing here just once, and you can have fun talking about them with others who have played them. There are a lot of courses that don't have any holes that you can say this about.

Been here 3 times now (played 6 rounds total) and I still want to come back for sure!

Rich, the owner, has put in a ton of work over the years. His work ethic to maintain and continue the growth of the course is second to none.

Teepads are concrete and appropriately sized. Baskets are too notch Prodigy.

Alot, if not almost all, of the rough brush has been removed to speed up play and potential for lost discs.

The course is ever being tweaked and adjusted to maximize its potential.

I do wish there was a 4.25 rating vs a 4.5, but I know it will be at this 4.5 rating soon. And the course deserves to be above a 4 overall.

Clean and well kept.

Hole 12 is my favorite hole on the course.

Hole 6 green and hole 7 blue share a basket. Not ideal but not that big of a deal for casual play.

9 and 16 are tough though holes. The hardest two on the course in my opinion. They've been opened up a bit and have become a tad more playable, in terms of having an fairway vs a lane.

Please be sure to look at the dates for the lesser reviews. The course was in its infancy and had work that was priority over other things. Now that priority work is done Rich works on the maintenance side of things.

Hole 3 is the main hole that has OB with a neighbor that comes into play with a poor throw. Your disc will get back to you, when found and if your name is on it. Respect the rules and don't retrieve it yourself.

Hole 6 also has some potential for OB into a neighbors yard. I've had this happen once in the last 4 years of play here.

A great variety of holes. There are long let-'er-rip holes in open meadows, shorter "technical" holes in the woods, and holes that combine fields and trees.

Pretty much every hole has an interesting feature or challenging shot. The holes are tough but fair. Just execute your shots and you'll do well.

It's got the most unique hole you'll ever play -- inside a large hanger-like building, where you must throw your disc through the open door on the far side to reach the basket.

There are two tees and two baskets for every hole, so you can choose your level of difficulty.

Tees and baskets are generally well marked. The course is clean and well maintained.

Navigating holes 7, 8 and 9 can be a bit tricky the first time you play.

Sunnymede is a fun and challenging disc golf course. It's $10 a day to play, and it's worth every penny.

Course is newer and it's obvious a ton of work has been done. It can and will only get better!

I like the 2 basket 2 pad design so there are multiple combinations. We played mostly blue (long) pad to green (short) basket. Most of the holes are in the shade of the trees which was nice in July. The holes are picturesque and loved the rock walls all over the course as well as the spool tables at every tee. They have several unique holes. One basket is hanging, one basket is up on top of a spool. Finally hole 17 tees off in a barn and you must make the triple mando to get out of the bar to the island hole. While we played green baskets, I could see that the blue baskets were in challenging positions. the course was easy to get around. Only time we used the provided map is for hole 5 because the sign was a little vague.

The only negative was that there were only 4 concrete green pads. They are in the process of concreting the green pads and it wasn't a deterrent. We easily moved to the concrete blue pads and they were fine for our playing level. There were green tee pads, they were just natural earth rather than concrete.

I played with my 16yo daughter who plays Intermediate women and I play rec man. We are from Florida and the owner Rich came out and greeted us and told us about the course. That was much appreciated. I have played 6 Mass courses and this was my second favorite. With completed green pads, it's a 4 star.

Designers have made good use of the property in laying out this course however it could be a bit crowded/tight during a tournament setting. Great course to learn/practice on.

I feel that I "got my money's worth" at this course. The dropbox/honor system is the same I've found at other courses. After reading prior reviews, I had cash so cannot speak to the Credit/Debit card procedures. The owner (Rick) and employee (Ian) I met were friendly and accommodating so I believe they would resolve any issues in an amicable manner.

Stakes and markers in open fields for out of bounds, understand need for tournament play etc. But takes away from aesthetics of open field looks.

Great course, travelled up from RI just to play, and was well worth it. It was middle of week in December, had course to ourselves. Course played quick, tees are close to baskets, grounds are fairly clear, not much time spent locating discs on errant shots. Spoke with owner- designer, he was very excited, passionate, about the course, and future improvements. Will certainly be returning soon. I highly recommend playing!

-Some of the baskets were a little tricky to find, but not to the point where I got lost.

-Hole 17 was my personal favorite. You literally throw a straight line through a giant barn. Great way to watch your shot line and try to make form improvements.

A well thought out, par 57 design which makes great use of the varied terrain. Six holes through fields, six through the woods, and six that are a combination of the two. It flows very nicely.

The property is beautiful and full of very unique holes.
The clientele is mature, respectful, and honest as mislaid discs are returned promptly to the lost and found and then posted on the Sunnymede Disc Golf Facebook page as well as on the sign in Kiosk.
There is a spotless port o potty on site.

Other than being a no cigarette smoking allowed facility, none. Those mentioned in other reviews have been attended to and alleviated.
White tee pads are not poured concrete yet. But that is part of the two year plan.
There is no club house, no disc sales.

The owner of this private facility is on site constantly, greeting all the players and working on the course. He accepts credit cards and debit cards and processes them through Square via his cell phone as you watch.
The place is spotless, and unique. Hole #3 plays along a neighboring property, and errant shots are best left in that property out of respect for the private property owner. However, that is the ONLY hole that abuts a neighbor and he is great about returning errant shots weekly to the lost and found Kiosk.
There is a hole that plays through a 200' steel building , another that has the basket inside an equestrian rain shelter, another that is suspended from trees, and yet another that is elevated via cable spools. Hole 12 is a bridal path that is narrow, but fair.
Holes 2, 11, and 17 are your best chances at an ace. Holes, 1, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 18 will please the big arm throwers.
This is a course you should definitely play !

I would give the course a 3 star if it were free. But when I pay-to-play I've come to expect a higher level of course cleanliness (in terms of overgrowth) and professionalism (no staff on site). To pay with credit card you have to call a random number and give them your credit card info!? Almost left the course immediately due to the "scam" nature of the bulletin.

Multiple narrow holes where if you throw goes a bit off the fairway your disc could end up on private property which you are then not allowed to enter... very frustrating.

Not worth your money. I don't mind paying to support the maintenance of a course but this one was not maintained well enough to justify it.

Great challenge and a variety of shots. The layout is easy to navigate. All holes have brushed concrete pads. Quiet neighborhood and not a ton of foot traffic (yet). Clean course. Porta Potty!

Still new. Still breaking in. The rough is quite rough (but that seems to be worked on every week). Grass is really tall between holes 1 & 18, lost discs easily there and between 4&5. Everything else good.
