Hidden Gem

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 14, 2024 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Requires a variety of shots. Elevation changes, water hazards, and plenty of trees. Well maintained by the parks department. Well worn walking paths and good signage make this course easily navigable. Part of the Ingham County Parks District, so if you have the pass for Burchfield, you can use it at Tadpole.

Cons:

Pay to play. Sometimes have to wait for other park users to clear the hole you are playing.

Other Thoughts:

Tadpole Beach is a hidden gem. This course brings me tons of joy. It is a shorter course, yet still quite challenging with the many different shots required. It's a great place to shape shots through the woods. As stated, it is pay to park and pay to play, but if you have the Ingham County Parks annual pass for dg and parking, it can be used at both Burchfield and Tadpole. It's well worth it to me!

Not Just For Tadpoles drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 15, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

* Beautiful signage.* Well worn paths.* Fun variety of holes and elevation changes.* Outhouses on property.* Benches on each hole.* Very visible red baskets that catch well.

Cons:

* Hole layout feels sidearm/lefty heavy.

Other Thoughts:

Tadpole Beach is a great course for beginner and intermediate players. The shorter hole length keeps distance-challenged players from being really frustrated, but the heavily wooded holes reward those with good disc control and the ability to shape shots. Water in play on several holes.
