Having 2 baseball diamonds as part of a course - not the greatest of ideas.... 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice and shiny DD Patriot baskets & each basket is mounted to proper heights.
Park is pretty easy to find even though it's tucked away in the rolling hills of southern Western New York.
Some fun ace runs and holes ranged from 150ish to 300 feet. Tees are like a compacted sand. Not as good as turf or concrete but better than simply a stake in the dirt marking the tee.
I *think* I found some woods holes that added a little challenge. (See cons...)

Cons:

If there were a Ten Commandments for course design the first should be "though shall not add a course at a park already used for other activities." Disc golf and other park activities rarely mix well and definitely not here.
Hole four runs along the back wall of one of the ball diamonds. So either a golfer could get whacked by a ball or a golfer could whack baseball player.

To get from hole 4 to 5, you walk between two diamonds, which unless I had Udisc on my phone I would have never found the next tee.
As, In. Never.

There are no tees signs and no sign by the first tee. There are small yellow blocks with magic marker listing each hole and its distance. But that's a far cry from an actual tee sign.

Currently they are expanding the course to 18, but realistically they should have finished the first nine as not to make the course THAT MUCH HARDER to navigate.

Didn't see any bathrooms and not sure if the place would be dog friendly, especially during ball games.

Other Thoughts:

The people installing the course don't have a lot of support financially or from the park as far as work goes, so they're putting in a bunch of time and money into a course that has some near fatal flaws.
As they say "Diamonds are Forever" so those ball fields aren't going anywhere. Hopefully they can find some other parts of park more conducive for disc golfers. It does have potential but a lot of things need to change before I would elevate my rating - which I feel may be a bit high but it's not the worst course ever I've ever played. And it should hopefully improve with time.

Good new course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 1, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Clean, fairly dry, easy to navigate, not too hill

Cons:

Only 9 holes

Other Thoughts:

The course isn't even a year old I think? But honestly in the few times I have been there, you can seeing they're improving it. They're clearing out more trees, looks like they're starting to put in more holes. It's a cute little course and I love how clean it is!
