If you really don't like trees, come here 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 15, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Nice Innova Baskets
+Park overall looks good. Swimming pool, baseball field, tennis courts, playground, football field, etc.
+Good place to practice long drives. Field work with baskets.
+Nice course map at the start. It is on the baseball fence along 1's fairway.
+Can't lose a disc here.

Cons:

-Literally no trees.
-Very long, open, boring holes.
-Probably very windy.
-Quite flat and the little elevation that is there is not used.
-No tees
-No signage
-Too many other park activities that could get in the way. You might have to skip some holes at certain times. Definitely some safety issues with the bike path and ball fields.

Other Thoughts:

+Play the course in LeMars and only come here if you are a course bagger.
+Very low fun factor for me. I would only play if I was a local who needed a fix or wanted to practice some wide open field work.
+Really not a lot of redeeming qualities about this place from a disc golf perspective. Overall, the park is nice and they probably don't have a better place in town to put a disc golf course in.

Small town... No creativity 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 10, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Solid baskets
This runs through a school campus and is normally going to be mowed, so the grass will be nice a low
Natural tee pads are well maintained
Probably won't lose a disc
Great for field work through towards baskets

Cons:

Basically no elevation change on this course, there is one hill that you play on, but other than that flat.

No real challenge, for a disc golfer who isn't a first timer.

Course feels forced into the area

No benches

You won't be able to play in there is football or baseball being played most likely

Other Thoughts:

This is a go to warm up or practice course when I'm in the area, but I'm not going here to be challenged. One of my favorite things to do is get a good nine hole warm up before driving down to LeMars to play a little (not much more) more challenging course.

I wouldn't go out of your way to play this nine, but if you are in the area it will get the job done.

Awesome small town course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Just a fun place to go and play a nice game of disc golf with some friends. The holes are good distance which makes for long straight shots.

Cons:

Not many trees makes it a little easy, but still pretty fun. Also no river or creek, so that makes it a little too easy.

Other Thoughts:

Haven't lost a disc yet so that's good. Love the small town community, and they keep it well kept and maintained.
