Junior Roc

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 14, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

--Amenities on site such as restrooms and water. There is no seating at the tees, but there is seating nearby.
--Quality 19-hole course on the same property.
--Tee pads are 3x6 and made of paver stones. I would prefer longer, but they are likely sufficient given the length of the holes (156 feet is the longest).
--With no map and no tee signs, it's difficult to know, but it you play concrete as OB, the accuracy requirements make up for the short hole distances. Seven is 156 feet to a guarded basket. Eight is 117 feet straight with OB within 8 feet of the basket on three sides. Nine is 147 feet with trees straight ahead, a ballfield and surrounding concrete walkway left and the parking lot right.

Cons:

--It's called a junior course, but with no holes as long as 160 feet, it feels short even for kids.
--Water and elevation are non-existent. Those elements exist on the property but not on this course.
--Safety. In addition to No. 9 (see Pros), there is an issue on No. 6. It's 82 feet (the shortest hole on the course) to a guarded basket. The problem is that my RHFH shot went right over the 19 tee pad from the big course and endangered anyone who might have been standing on the 7 tee pad for this course. And the walking path comes into play on five of the nine holes.

Other Thoughts:

--It's a junior course; don't expect length or difficulty. Almost no experienced player will come here just to play this course. But using it as a warm-up for the main course sounds like fun.
--Baskets are old Innovas, apparently repurposed from the full course. They are rusty but still catch well.

Tiny Fast 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 22, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Using the old red baskets and the tiny stone tee pads you make your way quickly around the soccer fields. Its all ace runs practice or to teach kiddos and new players.

Cons:

Very short no real signage

Other Thoughts:

If you go on weekdays and know one is on fields it is good but if kids are playing soccer you would not be able to play to close.
