Other Thoughts:
Ok, first off this is a HOA course, that means it is funded by the people who live there and is not a public park.
Some money was spend on tee signs, however they are very hard to figure out where the basket is from the tee. Some of the tee signs were put facing the wrong direction which made it a little hard to follow. But if you take a pic of the map, no problem following the course from that.
Ok, now on to the horrible design of the course. First off, there is not a whole lot to work with here. The course is behind some homes with a creek running though it. Not a lot of space for a disc golf course.
1st hole is a hard right to left hyzer shot, I mean hard with someones backyard to avoid of you throw too far. Only 154ft
2nd hole was nuts. The hole is like 160ft, however there is no fairway. Even a hard hyzer is not a good shot here. I don't know if they are going to clear out some of the brush, but I just threw a 30 ft upshot to the bridge, then threw over the creek to the basket off to the right. No birdie shot on a 160ft hole.
3rd hole was a simple turnover along the brush around the creek, they cleared out a little green. Only problem with this hole is that if you try to throw a big turnover shot and it hyzers out, you might land in a back yard, or the other fairways we will get too later.
Hole 4 is actually the best hole on the course. The sign says it is 217 ft, but it is actually a little longer than that. Hard left to right throw with a nice green area surrounded by a creek on 3 sides. In all honestly, this is the only hole worth playing.
Hole 5 is your basic right to left hyzer shot over the edge of a hill and around some brush. It says 217ft, but is a little longer than that.
Hole 6 is horrible, the tee has 2 smaller tree's in front of it that you need to either throw a turnover, straight or hyzer at it. Playing from the left of the tee sign, the turnover shot is the most open, however if you don't turn it over, your in someones back yard. The hole is only 157ft
Hole 7 gets worse, The hole is listed as 250ft, however it plays longer. It is a hard turnover shot with backyards coming into play if your disc falls off.
Hole 8 is crazy stupid, 316 foot throwing along peoples back yards. Turn it over or throw over the back yards and it not coming back your throwing over someones fence. I had the wind in my face and just laid up.
Hole 9 is slightly better, 335ft shot but still has backyards to your right. I went for it and almost landed in the last backyard as my disc turned over slightly.
In all, this is an HOA course, the small sign with the course map does say only for use of residents and there guests. Only residents should play this course. Honestly, I didn't even notice that until I looked at it again this morning. I didn't read the small print.
Would I play here again? Heck no, leave this one for the people who live in the neighborhood. As it is, I bet this course get pulled quickly as the people who live on the north side of the course are going to put up a fuss with people walking behind there homes throwing discs into their backyards.
