Tees and tee signs are in great condition. Good mix of obstacles and raised tees and baskets. Some really challenging, long drives.

Awesome course with a great mix of wooded fairways and holes and rocky outcrops with great views of the mountains.

As others have stated, the tee pads, baskets, and signage are all top notch. The layout is at times quite brilliant with elevated tees and good use of the topography. (We played the orange course) I applaud the effort and the initiative.

A few primary concerns: 1 many of the holes are unnecessarily long. This course is already much harder than most courses, the added length is not required. 2 many baskets are not visible from the tee pad (without the solid signage you'd be totally lost, even with it we were lost 3 times). I know that being able to see the basket is not a requirement, however, on the other mountain courses I've played, an obvious fairway was present. None of these holes save maybe 1 or 2 have an obvious fairway.

This course reminds me of climbing areas (I am a climber) where a really good climber develops a wall capable of a variety of routes but only puts up the really hard climbs. This is all well and good in an area where there are other options for newer climbers but doesn't do much to grow the sport beyond a few elites. This course or group of courses would do well to adjust the courses (there appear to be 3 out there) to be a beginner, intermediate, & expert in my opinion. There were young families and what appeared to be college age newcomers I observed who played the first 2-3 holes and left due to the difficulty. As there are no other courses around, it seemes like the designers missed an opportunity to create something that would grow the sport by building skill and confidence. It's not too late to modify it though IMO.

Excellent use of the natural terrain of this area.
Lots of variety (uphill, downhill, level, short, medium, long, etc.).
Concrete tee pads, DISCatcher baskets, and excellent signage.
All discs come into play (distance, fairway, midrange, putter, overstable, understable).
Par distances are in accordance with PDGA recommendations for a championship level course.
Alternate pin placements. (Not all alternates are installed yet.)
Alternate/shorter tees for all the par fours and fives. (The alternate tees are natural, marked with red flags.)
Trails from basket to next tee, so you don't get lost.
Located at a fantastic recreational area with scenic views. (mountain biking, four wheeling, hiking, camping, shooting range, and now disc golf)

The rock formations are hard on your discs.
Not a very good course for beginners, although there are a few holes that are great for beginners to get started on (3, 4, and 6).
Windy conditions are fairly common.
No water hazards.

The best times to play to avoid the wind, the heat, and the cold are Summer mornings and Autumn afternoons. There are some very long challenging holes, but that was the intention of the designer. It is a true accomplishment to par many of these holes, and a huge feat to birdie most any of them. I would recommend playing the alternate tees on the par 4's and 5's before trying the main tees. I don't think this course will ever get boring or too easy. It will always be fun and challenging no matter how good of a disc golfer you are.

Coming from the N.W, I was used to a lot of trees to shoot through . This course has lots more to deal with . Large bushes , Boulders , ,and sage brush . I have seen other courses like this on this site ,and was amazed . The 18 hole course is set on BLM land near the town of Enoch ,UT . The BLM basically gave the designers a blank check ,and it showed . Concrete pads ,Innova baskets ,and lots of help with the prep work . The course is not open to the public "yet" . they are going to have a tourney to kick that off soon . well placed baskets on top of large boulders ,or behind large cedar trees really amp up the excitement . Some really challenging hole placements coupled with long yardage hole mixed in make it a must see if you're in the area .

The cons I have with it are some of the the holes are REALLY long . 725' + . Most of those on the backside of the course . hole 18 is 925' .The designer could have place 3 more holes on the backside to make it a 21 hole course without too much effort . I think this would have really made it more enjoyable to play . The desert heat ,and the long treks to the baskets made it exhausting.

Bring lots of hydrating fluids . Mid-day heat is a killer . There is a lot of shade at time ,and you would be wise to use it when you can . Probably would be much better in the later half of summer ,or fall . camping is near by ,too .Will definitely play it again !
