Pros:
+First and foremost- there is now 36 holes of DG within walking distance of each other in Sioux Falls. Spencer and Tomar are a legit 18 that can be played together with minimal flow issues. Tuthill is in an adjacent park and is a 2 min drive away. 36 great holes of golf!
+Lots of fun woods holes. Multiple lines to each basket but never a super easy hole.
+Some risk/reward holes in a few different ways. First, go for it with a driver but may end up deep in rough vs lay up in fairway but maybe not get far enough. Second, the river definitely comes into play on a few holes. 3,5,6 especially.
+Navigation is already easy and will get better with improved signage, tee boxes, and use.
+High fun factor for me. Holes are a good length and have good variety. Good density of woods, not too easy or too hard. A chance to lose a disc but not too high.
+If you're really short on time, skip 3-4 and play 5 from the drop box. A quick 7 all on the south side of the river.
+Good parking and bathrooms available at Park. Rest of park is out of the way and shouldn't mess with DG at all.
+Due to other DG options in immediate area, shouldn't be busy at all.
+No bias here as far as throwing styles go. Some go right, some straight, some left.
+Nice, new concrete pads!
Cons:
-Could lose a disc into the Big Sioux River.
-Could be a bit muddy with some rain.
-Signage could be updated and made more permanent.
-Just enough room for 9 holes here (can play as a full 18 with Spencer)
-Absolutely no elevation change here. Flat river bottom.
-Could probably flood in a very wet year.
Other Thoughts:
-Hole 5 is a funny hole. I'll play it a few more times and update my review.
-If you want to play as a 18 with Spencer, I would start here at Tomar, play 1-4 then hop onto Spencer's 7 which is just across the bike path. Play 7-9 then 1-6 and head back to the Bike Path bridge to play Tomar's 5.
-I'll play here over and over. It was fun!
