Fun Small Town Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 21, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Tee boxes have landscape timber edges with wood chip filling and are large: 5.5' x 15'. They all have the hole #, distance and basic path to basket.

They made good use of what the land gave them. They used the tree rows and the drainage ditch to their advantage. Several baskets set into the trees with the area cleaned out around them. The drainage ditch, while not daunting, comes into play on numerous holes.

It has tee pads and signs done when it opened and is also entered into UDisc with maps.

The hole distances were wheeled and are accurate (I brought my wheel and checked them).

The way the course is laid out, you can leave it alone and it is beginner friendly or there are roads, fences, baseball fields, mandos you can make to toughen it up.

Cons:

The baseball fields come into play and several holes and if they are being used, make the course unplayable.

The UDisc distances aren't accurate.

Other Thoughts:

I like that a small town saw an advantage to having a disc golf course and the city council agreed. They planned and installed the course unknown to most people. Unlike some of the many small town courses I've played in Kansas, this one wasnt layed out haphazardly and is fun to play. One of the best small town courses I've walked up to and was able to play and enjoy! (This gave them a bump in my rating.)
