Pros:
Only course for miles around
Nice Patriot baskets
Nice course map by tee one
Cons:
No tee signs, hole are mostly marked with a stake in the ground
small park so other park users will be an issue.
Other Thoughts:
I enjoy playing small town courses. You usually have the course/park to yourself and it can be very interesting.
Course starts off simple enough, nice short shot with the parking road on the right. and a couple of tree's to throw around
Hole 2 was a simple open field shot with a parking lot and road behind the basket.
Then it starts getting interesting. I said this was a small park,
hole 3 has a pavilion off to your right that comes into play and you throw over a walking path.
To the credit of the designer, the tee for hole 4 was put near the pavilion taking it out of danger, you are just now throwing though a group of picnic tables on both sides of the fairway. They are basicly your only obstacle.
Hole 5 has the same issue, the picnic tables on the left and the parking area for those tables on the right. Longer hole too.
hole 6 is the longest hole on the course with the ball field fence on the left and parking on the right.
Hole 7 was missing it's tee marker, but it is another hole following the fence line of the ball field. Wide open hole.
Then it really gets interesting.
hole 8 is the 2nd longest hole on the course, you have the ball fields fences on the left and are throwing between the fields and a building. with no one around, it is an interesting hole.
Then you have the blind shot #9 around the edge of the building with a swing set on your left. Yep, smacked my first drive right into that thing. Took a mulligan and hit the side of the building.
Would I play here again? nope, this is a course just for bagging. You want a more challenging "safer" course, head an hour north to Hobbs or east to Odessa. Just skip this one.
