Before I get Prerubed...

1) Couldn't find any info about these discs on Innova's site (saw the Roc+, but nothing about the Eagle+ or TeeBird+).
2) Saw this thread, What is a Plus Mold for innova discs , but couldn't post on it because:
"This Thread is more than 87 days old, you can't reply to it."

What's a guy to do? Thread didn't really answer the question, so I started this thread, hoping to get some reliable info.

Recently picked up brand new TeeBird Plus and Eagle Plus molds (both in Champ) on trade.
Fact: they are bit domier the orirgianl molds; definitely domier than the Champ TeeBirds and Eagles my friends throw.

Opinion: I'm just getting used to them, but from what I've see, they do exactly what I expect a Tee Bird and Eagle to do:

TeeBird + goes nice and straight, finishing with slight/moderate fade.

Eagle+ seems a bit more stable than the TeeBird+, fights wind a litle better, finishes with more pronounced fade. I throw it (RHBH) when I need to work a shot with a significant R to L finish - certainly not a Predator, but definitely overstable. Please chime in with your thoughts and feedback.

You can click a little box at the bottom of the old posts to "revive" the thead.. even if its a year old. Not that I care, just letting you know because I had the same problem one day and somebody told me! hah

Plus mold - Slightly slanted inner rim.
Regular mold - Normal rim angle.

thanks!

I'm of the opinion that Innova is making PLUS molds to be able to mold their discs better with current polymers (without adding weighting agents that cloud or make the plastics opaque). This is both cheaper for them and probably better for all of us that throw them.

My Japan support effort roc+ is super domey and very overstable. It's my stepping stone to my whippets.

i threw a couple teebird +'s and they are pretty stable for me. have not thrown the eagle +'s or the roc+'s though.
if anyone needs any teebird+'s i have a few in a for sale thread :)

So then what causes the white/gray marbling "stands" that originate in the middle of the disc and splay outwards? Im honestly curious. I was always told that was the weighting agent.

If I understand what you are talking about I'm pretty sure that is from when they change the color they are dying the plastic. When they start shooting another color, the residual color in the tubes mixes with the new color and a few discs get multi colors.

i was told the roc +'s bead curled out more, for people with smaller hands or something along those lines. the bead definitely protrudes out more than the traditional rocs..i love my roc +

I recently bought a new Star Valkyrie, but i noticed that the inner rim was slightly slanted. In my other Star Valkyrie the rim is totally straight.

Have they recently changed the mold or is this a Valkyrie+ or something (even though it doesn't red on the disc)?

The rim is also deeper in the one with the slanted rim, i measured it

edit: this could be because of the angle of the rim, actally im not sure if it's deeper, probably not :p

I'll be waiting for a response to this as well. I've recently purchased a Pro Valk and the inner rim is also slanted. I've noticed that it seems to be a tad less stable than my Star Valk that has a straight rim. I'm not sure if the more understability is because of the rim, because its Pro plastic or both.

The +mold is this business:

The chopstick is flat against the inside of the rim in both pictures.

Dome doesn't have anything to do with the +mold, there's plenty of variation in domeyness in normal runs already...

I have had a pro valk with a slight slant. I'm pretty sure it is just a molding variation, because this happened with the new C-TDS I believe

This is just a theory, but do you think maybe Innova copied lat 64?
Perhaps. The official explanation is that it gives more volume to the mold (naturally) making it easier to mold discs in heavy weights with less weighting agent (clearer discs). Also Dave D. seems to prefer the "beefier" feeling grip.

And from what I've heard/seen, most if not all new Pro Valks (Orcs too?) have been +mold. Innova doesn't mark all of them, so yeah, kinda sh*tty.
