Addicted to Fairways

I have a problem: I am addicted to fairway drivers.

In the bag: Teebird, TL, Leopard, Viper.
Working its way in: River (Leopard most likely saying bye-bye)
Testing: Banshee (I get more control with the Viper, though)
If you extend fairway speed to 9: Valkyrie

Plus, I am looking to pick up the FD Jackal, because the reviews on it have been very solid.

Yes, I know there is some overlap. I just can't stop.

Maybe it is because they are all my arm can handle, but I can't seem to get enough fairway love. The control and distance, more often than not, can get me exactly where I am comfortable off the tee.

Anyone else a fairway addict?

Unless your courses are super long (and even then), nothing wrong with sticking to fairways. The fastest thing I threw for almost a year was DX Teebirds, now it's a PD. I carry a Bolt because it's fun to throw downhill/wind but nothing wrong with sticking to slower stuff. 350' (just saying, no clue how far you throw) in the fairway is better than 450' in the woods

I do most of my field practice with fairways. I have a lot that I'll practice with, but don't actually have a full-time spot in my bag.

I carry 3 rivers as my goto drivers, an opto, GL, and the new LE test material.
They are $ for me.
I also carry a roadrunner, a new(er) glo champ, and a seasoned echo star; star eagle-x and for OS duties carry a star Starfire (faster than a fairway @ speed 11, but I can def get it up to speed)

So yeah, I'm a fairway guy...just can't beat the control they offer (for my game).

I carry 4 Eagles, 2 X mold and 2 L mold. I have faster stuff but I really love my Eagles and they get the D I need. Let the haters hate.

Couldn't agree more... 90% of my non-putting throws are eagles/river.

I've got about 12 fairway driver discs in my Zulu right now.

You might be able to say that about me, except not. I'm a control driver addict. I don't carry any drivers faster or slower than a TD/PD. I love throwing my TDs for everything, and I'm also really liking a P-PD that I just got so I'll be on the lookout for more PDs. Hopefully they'll complement the TDs and not kick them out completely.

I agree fairways are the shiznit! My max-d drivers only come out to play on 4 holes at my home course. Anything 325 or less is fairway.

I agree. Most of my tee shots are with: EXP, Ascent, Trak, Polaris LS

Fairway drivers are aptly named. I prefer to play from the fairway for my second shot.

If it's wide open, I'll pull out a distance driver, but most of the places I play require placement of the drive. I actually prefer a mid off the tee when I can.

Sign me up for Fairway Drivers Anonymous too. Fastest thing I throw is the Flow but usually it's around a 7 like the River. They give me the best control and line shaping abilities. Not many courses here have a ton of holes over 400 so having a bag full of Nukes or Destroyers doesn't make sense.

im loving fairway drivers right now. i can still throw far, but get better accuracy too. and to who ever said driving mids; thats also where its at. i reach for my buzzz if the hole is 350 or less. i dont see why more people dont throw fairways for D.

I carry 2 GL Rivers, an Opto and GL Striker, and a Stalker. I love my Fairways!

This. Minus the throwing far part, everything else I do. Except Buzzz = Roc. It still kills me when I out throw people with a Roc, and they're spraying Nukes and Destroyers all over the course. Like stated above, I DO NOT throw far.

its better then like you said spraying destroyers and nukes and other warp speeders all over the place. i know this guy who carrys like 20 discs in his main compartment and none are slower then a orc. well, he does have a teebird in there i guess. still makes me laugh.

Yea fairways are where its at, I carry an 11x Eagle-X, an 11x Eagle-L, an 11x KC Pro Teebird and an 11x KC Pro Gazelle. Im think about putting a banshee to try but not sure yet.

Day glow 11x teebird, probably don't throw it as much as I should but I plan on fixing that. My home course is fairly long so its hard to shake the mindset of "throw faster"
I'm really looking forward to trying out the fd, sounds like its got glide for days.
