Just finished a round at Morningside Park in Knoxville,TN. Hole 8, I'm throwing a sidearm. Get up to the tee, get my self situated, then throw. As I'm releasing my disc, about 40 feet in front of my, a bird takes off from the ground and flies right into the path of my 175g Champ Teebird. That poor bird. An explosion of feathers and some flapping about. I think I killed it. :( or it was playing opossum pretty well. Has anyone else hit a bird with a disc? I was so shocked. What are the odds.

Randy Johnson was arrested for animal cruelty when one of his fastballs took out a bird that crossed the ball's path.

It instantly reminded me of this time when my and my dad were shooting fireworks. We had one of those three foot long bottle rockets with a giant stick. Launched that sucker right into a poor bird.

No he wasn't. Dave Winfield was back in '83 though for hitting a seagull in warmup.

I instantly thought of that Randy Johnson moment too, but he definitely wasn't arrested for it. I prefer using shotguns for my bird hunting, but to each his own I guess...

I hit a bird that was sitting in a tree with a disc about 275 down the fairway at Taylor Park hole 7 and it died. My friend hit a bird sitting on the fairway of hole 1 at Cliff Stephens and that one died too.

A bird was sitting on the cage when I was putting. I hit my putt and he promptly took a dump and scattered. I literally scared the sh!t out of it

^man that is some serious carnage. No it was not the Vol Classic. That would have been awful. But whoever is playing tomorrow will need to watch out for the bird on the fairway.

A friend of mine took a ducks head clean off with a Destroyer at Fountain Hills. I guess the disc is appropriately named.

I've done it, the thing came out of nowhere into the path of my drive, about 30-40 feet off of the tee. And this was a full power drive with a speed 10 disc. A few feathers went flying and it went down, then surprisingly flew away a few seconds later. It must not have been a square hit.

My Brother's Friend Randy Johnsoned a bird once. It killed the bird, he felt really bad about it.

I've always thought the Randy Johnson Bird incident may be the single most improbable event in the history of sports.
