[Innova] Which Blizzard?

I bought three. A 134g bubble plate Boss, a 150g Destroyer, and a 145g Katana. I traded two, and only kept the Boss. Finding a good Blizz disc was a one out of three experience for me. Keeping it in the bag with normal weight discs usually means I just griplock the hell out of it when I finally try to throw it. The others were great trade bait, though, so I ought to just hock the Boss too.

You know my votes for a katana... might be fun to mess with a high speed disc that you wont come close to getting up to speed otherwise :)

I have thrown my friends DD2 and that thing is awesome, another one that is really good is the dominator but its allread oop:(

The Blizz Dominator is OOP? Last I heard was that it was released as CFR and would be going into regular production at some point. Has it been announced that it will not go into regular production?

Oh ok that makes sense, no just saw that it was being sold as oop. :wall:

So before I get prerubed, I did search and wasn't able to find much information on the topic. My question is which blizzard disc should I get? I'm thinking of getting it super light so it floats.

WTF did you search for? I doubt you couldn't find much about blizzard discs on here. I am guessing you didn't want to take time and read whats out there already.

i just ordered a 134 blizzard boss. none of the other floater discs out there worked for me. the dragon was the closest but it's flippyness was no match for my OAT ;)

... i'm sure i'll lose it on the first water hole i throw on /meh

If you are looking to just pure bomb - Boss, period. I have been hukkin mine crazy distances (ask New013), until I lost it yesterday - time for multiple purchases.

I'm leaning towards the boss. A quick question, how do you get a disc once it is floating? Do you need one of the golden retriever things?

Golden retrievers sink and scrape along the bottom. To fetch a floating disc requires you to:
- use a stick
- jump in and get wet
- do something creative like snag it with a tape measure.

well that kinda sounds like a pain...

I have a 139 wraith and i love it, barely throw it with no wind and can fly farther then most of my other discs...

I've noticed there's definetly a love/hate relationship with Blizzards. Me and my frequent golfing partner geofflaw love them. The best way is to just try them.

Part of me wants to be a troll and tell you to get whatever DQ is calling the Blizzard of the Month. Those are usually pretty good. Oh look. I just said it.

We can't tell you which to get though. They (supposedly) have different flight paths, so you just have to figure out what works for you. Find someone throwing the same discs in Blizzard or otherwise and see what feels right. Your original question is exactly like me saying I want to buy a Wraith, Katana, Boss, or Ape and I don't know which one. Nobody can tell you because nobody knows how you throw.

I wouldn't have bought a Blizzard disc, mainly because I don't throw warp speed drivers, but someone gave me a 160g Blizzard Dominator. I threw it on a couple of holes, and it was really fun. I liked how fast it was, and enjoyed throwing huge hyzers or airing it out for extra distance (I threw it farther than any other disc I've thrown).

Actually, throwing the Dominator convinced me to check out some faster drivers because I liked throwing it so much. I'd stick with it, but it's a bit flippy for using in a round where it counts. I had no trouble keeping it in the fairway, but I was using a lot of sky (part of the fun, but also a drawback for me).

It's definitely worth it to check one out--they're fun to play with. They show up in the x-out and used bins at my local shop, so you might be able to pick up a cheap one if you have access to a good disc store.

Where the Hell are the blizzard grooves I've been waiting my whole life for???

I know you're joking, but the groove was designed to be lighter already, hence the groove. If they made it in bliz too they could likely get it down in the 120s. That would be interesting....

My 138 Bliz Boss is a little touchy and flips sometimes, But put a little hyzer on it and it bombs. Im going to get one around 143 to hopefully get more consistency with it.
