[Discraft] Discraft buzzz -what plastic

Try them all!! lol. (but seriously)

I keep an array of different Buzzz in my bag. Cryztal Z is prolly my favorite though if I had to pick just one.

I'll add a vote for ESP FLX. Still plenty stable, but with less fade and superb grip. Really just a point-and-shoot disc. Less skip on fast approaches.

i use z because there are more discs, only available in z, than any other plastic
but i really like esp also

i would consider glow, that way if you decide to play in the dark you dont have to buy another disc
(but i dont think you can have too many buzzzs)

I never like my FLX buzz. Too understable for what I needed it to do. I then won a Ti Buzzz and it was soooo pretty I didn't want to throw it but I broke down and threw it... WOW! Completely different from the FLX I had. Ti is super straight and will not turn over when on full power (400ft plus power for me) but for low powered shots it sticks a line and has reliable fade (flies exactly like a new DX Roc with out the bead). But yeah there are mixed reviews about the Ti because there are some inconsistency with the mold. The best are the flat and firm ones. Silver is not difficult to find either but I bet gold and stupid green would be too. I don't have experience with Z or Cryztal but I always hear they are also very good. But Ti is super durable, pretty, and reliable. It is my go to for many shots and great for midrange flicks because it doesn't flip over. Hope that helps OP (original poster)

Has anybody thrown the crystal flx yet? I have a crystal that is dead balls straight... thinking about picking up the crystal flx.

Anything but D really...

I like Z and X Buzzzes. Z is a little overstable and the X has awesome glide. Both are very durable.

yeah for 10 bucks shipped you can find used Z in the marketplace almost every other day! wanted threads are now 5 bucks a year to start but trust me you will save money in the long run! plastic is way cheaper here!

I'm curious why X gets so little love in general - my only Discraft disc is an eliteX Buzzz, and I like it more and more - it seems durable enough.

Is Z that much better?

I don't think so man, just different. Not as durable as Z obviously but still damn good. I really like the X just as much as Z for how it flies despite it not being as durable.

I wouldn't worry about Crystal, just get a regular ESP or Z. People just try to justify paying higher prices for "Crystal" plastic.

Or better yet go with Westside, get a Warship.

Glow Z was my long time favorite buzzz until I lost it under an acre of fallen leaves. Like an old radio, you could dial that puppy however you needed to...
Now I throw Ti because I love the firmness, and its a tad more stable, but it is a trick to find sometimes

i think Z is the buzzz most people know and love, but i really like the X buzzz also.

if you are used to the D buzzz, you should upgrade to X. it will fly more like what you are used to from the D whereas the Z will be more stable than you are used to.

I have two Ti Buzzzes (one in that perfect grass color green, which is why I replaced it with an orange one, which it turns out is perfect "dead leaf" color :D) and have thrown some other Buzzzes, and I'll stick with the Ti. The plastic feels like it won't beat in much so the Buzzz I have now is the Buzzz I'll have in several months/years.

Unless I lose it in the leaves.

P.S. Some people might not like the grip. Maybe I'm too new, but I've got all different kinds of plastics with different grips and never really felt I liked one more than the other. The discs are different anyway. Still, again maybe I'm just not good enough to notice the differences in plastics in terms of grip yet.

I must be the only one that prefers the ESP Buzzz. CryZtal would by my second choice.

I am in love with my Ti, it is a workhorse. The color is a problem, grass green, autumn oak leave gold, autumn maple leaf red..... a sharpie and some creativity solved most of this though. Z is also a great option.
