The Professional Disc Golf Association announces that David Feldberg has resigned from the PDGA Board of Directors for personal reasons. We ask all members to join with us in thanking David for his years of service to the association.

David writes, "After much deliberation and consideration I've decided to step back from my role of the Board of Directors of the Professional Disc Golf Association. After 16 years on and off the course I have seen so much growth, change and development in our sport and I'm proud to have been a part of shaping both for today and the future. I'm focusing my efforts with a new sponsor, Latitude 64, in doing so I cannot continue to carry on the work that I've been doing for the last several years with the Professional Disc Golf Association. I enjoyed serving the organization that serves the sport that I love and look forward to being part disc golf's future in other ways."

What is Dave doing with Latitude that he wasn't doing with Innova? I know he's still getting the hang of the "new" discs, but I wouldn't think doing so would lead him to resign from the PDGA Board. Wonder what ways he's going to be in disc golf's future other than being a highly rated professional competitor.

Interesting bit of news. I just hope he's okay. I've heard good things and bad things about Mr. Feldberg, but all I know is A) he's a great player and B) Lat64 makes some choice discs.

PDGA is ran by innova basically right? No shocker here :p

Also, I'm glad of this move by FeldBeard

Who currently sits on the board of directors? One thing I noticed during his announcement video was the bit mentioned about taking his knowledge to latitude. I guess I read that as design input possibly. Maybe that was part of the deal for when he gets older and isn't playing as much. Is there anybody on the board of directors who has ties directly to a disc manufacturer?

Why don't we let him leave on a positive note instead of spreading rumors?

because this is just a forum in a tiny little nook on the internet and even our collective voices aren't enough to shape an overall opinion on dave for the outside world. maybe?

let's speculate.

Agreed. If everybody put in ten minutes of practice for every negative thing they want to post, the collective rating of this forum might break 900.

Actually, I heard the same...

So it is a what? ....a Rumor. Either way I know he has done more for the sport than most of us combined so I do not feel it is our place to tarnish what he has done based on hearsay.

would it not also be a rumor that he resigned if this is the case?

nobody is tarnishing what he's done for the game. just speculation at this point. and whether it's resign or voted off, that doesn't take away what he's contributed to the sport and will continue to do in the future for disc golf.

I assumed his resignation was printed on the PDGA page, if that is not the case then you are correct that it would be a rumor. Speculating that he was going to get voted off implies that he was unwanted or incompetent in some way.
