Favorite music to play to

Varies from day to day and who I'm playing with or if I'm by myself. Usually it's just a pandora station with a lot of variety added to play a little of everything. I've done a lot of thumbs down work so it plays very nicely.

Other times I enjoy just listening to life.

Don't usually listen to music when playing but when I do it's metal. Today's playlist would be filled with Amorphis and Eluveitie.

I've never been one for music while playing disc golf. However when I have had a particularly bad string of luck on the course I will sit down in a quiet part of the course and listen to Rainy Mood. This will usually put me in a better mood and I tend to do better after that.

I carried speakers for a while but it was annoying because I couldn't hear other people talking to me and who knows what would happen if I didn't hear someone yelling "fore".

on the rare occasion that i listen to music while i golf, it's either something mellow like Sublime, or i go the other route and listen to Amon Amarth.

Pandora stations====>System of a Down, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Al Green, The Cars, Doobie Brothers, Metallica.....just depends what I'm in the mood for. Or Nothing but nature

I play without tunes but that is one fine playlist your got working there. (not a big System fan but everything else is on the money!)

Mainly Public Enemy, Jimi Hendrix, Pantera, Old school hip hop, Beastie Boys, Weezer, Blue Oyster Cult, Dr. Dre and Metallica.

More along the lines of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio. Also like power metal such as Hammerfall, Dream Evil, Helloween, Iced Earth etc. The point being not the new Heavy Metal with the cookie monster vocals that is coming out in waves today. Musically I like it I just prefer cleaner vocals is all.

LOL!! I now have a new favorite way of dissing by-the-numbers heavy metal!

... can't STAND listening to reggae/Bob Marley during casual rounds (or in general really). When someone's playing it on the course, I feel like a plastic-chucking stereotype.

Ugh---young white male chuckers who think listening to ONLY reggae, ALL day, makes them "cool".

Lately it's been A Tribe Called Quest, but I usually mix it up.

What I want to know is what Barry Schultz is always listening to.

Almost have music on during casual rounds via portable speakers, at tournaments I only use the earbuds when I'm having trouble/getting in my own head/overthinking...

Favorites for DG:

Rory Gallagher
Queens of the Stone Age (the QotSA Pandora channel is really good)
Steepwater Band
Rodrigo y Gabriela
Led Zeppelin
Al Di Meola
Black Crowes
Porcupine Tree

Something with a good groove to it helps me get in a rhythm...

I prefer no music. But if there is music something super chill or hip hop. I play with a dude who listens to dub step and it makes me hate my life.
