Most Annoying Sound Ever on a DGC

In a rough order, starting with the worst:

#1 Somebody else's music playing on anything, good speakers or not.

#2 Somebody dropping F-bombs and MF-bombs on the course, at any volume, anytime.

#3 Somebody yelling at the disc for hitting a tree or missing the putt.

My most annoying sound is random idiots yelling at you from cars. People who do that should be drawn and quartered.

Those people do suck. I had a woman stop her truck Saturday, roll down the window, and tell me, "go home, it is cold as hell outside." It wasn't even cold, in fact it was probably the warmest day of the week, despite the new snow. It was 31 and there wasn't a breadth of wind.

The course I have been playing recently is backed up to a firing range...almost non stop gun fire. I wouldn't say the sound is as annoying as it is intimidating. I find myself thinking about what happens if a bullet richochets and heads my way :|

An outdoor firing range next to a disc golf course?! I hope for y'all's sake they're firing shotguns, not long rifles.

Not near a firing range, but have heard gunshots from across the street near Sugaw. I've seen a lot of players freaked out by this noise; I just take cover.

I'm with you, OP. I think bagpipes sound hideous. I can't imagine being subjected to the sound of one being tuned.

By Far the most annoying sound is the guy who burns 3 smokeables during the round and never shuts up. If he does shut up he is rustling in his bag or wandering in your sight lines.

I had this happen at an Ice Bowl on the weekend and it was deeply annoying

People who loves bagpipes > 40 years of age lol

I'm 29. I like the sound of bagpipes.

When I was growing up in VA, my next door neighbor decided to take up bagpiping. He got pretty good. But you don't get good without practice, and he typically liked to practice outside on the front yard.

I was awoken many summer mornings by the sounds of bagpipes blaring through my open window. It never really bothered me though. It was never god awful early in the morning.

Almost every sound is the most annoying sound if I'm playing poorly.

I actually remember playing a round at a park years ago where a guy was just standing on a hill playing bagpipes. THAT was cool. It's not something you see/hear every day.

When my disc hits the chains on a putt and doesn't stay in the basket. Thats the most annoying sound.

I'm under 40 and LOVE bagpipes. Of course growing up my granparents lived in Alma, Michigan, AKA Scotland USA, so bagpipes were a huge part of my childhood. I will admit thought that listening to someone tune their pipes is akin to listening to a cat get sodomized by a particularly well endowed horse.

I'm also that guy with the speaker, as I like to hear what my disc hits on bad throws, but also like music to keep me in the groove while practicing. However I play my music at a volume where I can barely hear it 10' from my bag, never use the speaker on a new course, silence my music when approaching other groups, and keep headphones in my bag for when the course is crowded, so hopefully I'm being as courteous as possible.

For everyone that says they hate the sound of someone else's music, to you I say, I hate the sound of your silence. :(

Yup outdoor firing range. From what I can tell they allow all types of firearms on the range. The first time I played out there I thought someone was just target practicing but realized there was far too many rounds being fired for one person haha
