Knowing my love for dg, my sister thought I'd like the disc set and basket(?) from Big 5. No, it isn't the Innova starter pack. Its called the Go Gater Disc Golf Set. The "basket" looks more like a clothes hamper, and the discs are the worst things I've ever seen!! They're even worse than Epics. :doh:
My sister is awesome, and I know its the thought that counts;but, my dg friends would've died laughing if they could've seen me trying to pretend it was the "disc gift I've always wanted"

Change for the Better

Dont think I'll be receiving anything DG related this year. Wife and I decided a couple years into our marriage that exchanging gifts is a waste of money. It's all about the kid now.

I'm with you there. My wife and I also decided that after many years, we've run out of ideas and prefer to buy our own stuff anyway and that the stress wasn't worth it. So now we only buy something if we happened across it and thought "Ooh, he or she would love that". We also together buy a "gift for the two of us" which can be boring (a new toaster oven) or better (a trip somewhere). It's made the holidays a lot easier. For her birthday I still do the card and dinner and some small gifts.

Got surprise gifted a pair of Friction Gloves. Pretty sweet feeling.

I also got some friction gloves. I got medium, although they are a little tight, I believe that is the purpose.

Also got an Innova 2018 calendar. Neat pics of courses in it.

And now we got sub zero temps for a week. Whoop.

Yes it is, lol. Its one of those gag gifts you see a rack of pop up around Christmas time. Like the office desk pool table and stuff like that... Sky Mall quality at its best...

My gorgeous baby set me up with a backpack bag and three discs I specifically wanted Father's Day 2016. Since then, two birthdays, two Christmases and another Father's Day have passed and no more DG-related gifts. Could it be a hint that I spend enough money on discs, etc. all by myself that she's not feeding into it any further? Who knows?

But...she got me a sweet new baseball bat that probably set her back $150 shipped so I still did well!
