Blind holes and etiquette

With all the talk of getting thrown on, I am wondering how most people handle blind holes.
When teeing off, do you yell and ask if "all's clear?"
If playing in a group, do you have someone go to the "blind spot" to make sure you're not throwing on anybody and to spot discs to reduce the time it take to find all the discs?
Do you yell "clear" when you finish the hole and "not clear" when someone throws up on you without seeing you there?

I walk over the crest to make sure. Usually when I am done we yell clear on blind holes as well.

I just trot up to make sure nobody's within range.

It really depends on whether I have seen a group in front of me or not. If I have been playing all round without seeing anyone in front of me then I don't think anything of it. If there is someone in front of me I either just wait an additional 2-3 minutes on the tee or yell to see if they are still down there if I am ready to go. Certain holes like hole #2 in Hickory I will check since it is one of the first few holes and might have people on it.

Many of the blind holes I play I can normally kind of see the teebox or the walking path to the next hole so it is rarely a problem. Random people using the course as a walking path tends to be the usual problem. And they are ALWAYS going against the holes not with them.

Good post waynewf.
On a blind hole, I wait until I think the people in front of me should be clear. Then I yell, "Coming in on (hole number here)!". If no one responds, I go ahead and tee off. When you finish, you should definately yell "Clear!".

I usually just listen for chains and then quiet, if I know there's a group ahead of me. If I don't hear chains, then I'll yell "Clear on hole #whatever?". When I'm done, I'll yell clear if there was somebody behind me.

"all clear on #(insert hole)?"

no response

"throwing on #(insert hole)"

throw.

I will say that it is always good to giver the all clear yell even on holes that are completely open. Why not? Sometimes you may dawdle by the side of the green gathering your stuff, and if you give the all clear you take a minute off the group behind you. I usually yell all clear as I'm holing out, after the putt leave my hands I can avoid anything coming my way and it usually takes the thrower a minute to gather themselves and throw anyways.

Make your throw, listen for screams. Just make sure you put a fake name/number on your disc before you throw. Chances are if you start running as soon as you hit someone they'll never catch up

No one has thrown up on me yet (at least while playing disc golf), but the season is young.

If I know there's someone in front of me, I'll wait a minute or two. When I remember, I yell "clear" when I'm done.

always yell clear on blind holes, and usually people at my local course do so as well. I've never been thrown on at my local course..

Only if I suspect another group may be there.

Sometimes, but not often.

Do you yell "clear" when you finish the hole and "not clear" when someone throws up on you without seeing you there?

Yes, upon finishing. Just to screw with the thrower, I have been known to yell OWW!! YOU MF! when thrown on.
