Placement is key on this drive. A hyzer for RHBH is most succesful. A drive in the woods or looking down the chutes is ideal as it gets tight once you're in the woods.
From the blue tees, a flat shot with something stable-overstable is the key to getting to the green. If you have the power, a spike hyzer may be useful
Keeping it low and straight is the key to this hole. Stay on one of the 2 fairways. The middle trees make for some tough shots as well as getting off the fairway into the thorns and bushes
This hole almost always has a perpetual headwind on it coming off the lake so make sure you take that into account. The most popular route is to play it safe and land at the top of the hill setting up a pretty easy hyzer to the pin. Beware the OB down the hill to right plenty of big drives and flipped over second shots are picked off by it. The rough down the left hand side of the hole is very thick and usually forces a lay up just to get back out to the fairway. The pin will either be A or B since I do not think C has ever been used.
From the tee just aim for the small gaps in the trees on the hillside in front of you. Do not worry about getting up the hill on your drive. There are two obvious gaps and the one to the right offers the clearest fairway once you have crested the hill although there is some space to the left if you end up over there.. A RHFH roller is a popular choice for a second shot here. The A pin has a steep drop off directly behind it so beware on your approach shots. This is an easy hole to pick up a birdie 4 on(or even a 3) if you hit the gaps but if you get off the easy path you can quickly change that into a 6 or 7.
This is not a bad hole to lay up on from the tee. Since kissing off one of the trees in and around the fairway will most likely leave you OB. There is OB directly in the middle of the hole that cuts through the fairway with a creek OB to the right. There is also OB directly in front of the C pin. You can definitely clear the first OB but doing so safely is sometimes a matter of luck.
The three pins on this hole make for completely different looks. Speaking as a right hander. The B Pin is a straight BH with a little fade at the end. A Pin is a gentle anny or a FH with a little fade at the end. C pin is a sharp anny that starts out wide left or a hyzer FH with a skip finish.
Stay in the fairway off the tee. If you end up in the left trees your second shot will be very tough and the right side is not any better. The second shot (uphill) on this hole is deceptive. Put a little more on it than you think is necessary to make sure you clear the OB ditch at the top of the hill.
This one is pretty straight forward unless the pin is in the C position. For C the best shot in my opinion is a high RHFH or LHBH over the small trees to the left. For the other two pins just put something straight out there.
