When standing on the teebox, to line up where the blind basket behind the hill is, look waaaaay off in the distance for the flag flying on a pole just above the tree line.

With the basket on the left side of the hill the best approach strategy is a RHFH or lefty hyzer shot (or possibly overhand). Most RHBH shots end up on the wrong side of the hill or skipping too far from the basket side.

If the grass has been recently mowed, then a roller out to the left can get you up near the basket without challenging all the trees on this most-wooded of all the Powell holes.

The RHBH spike hyzer takes just about all the trees out of play on this relatively short hole and usually leaves you with a run at a putt.

Like hole #1 this is another teebox that is supposed to be to the right side of the tee post, despite the worn patch of grass to the left where all the lesser players tee from. Work on your booming RHBH anhyzer shot and ride the typical left-to-right wind as far as you can on this one.

The RHBH hyzer shot (high or low) almost never works on this hole. We watched multiple top Pros try that line at 2012 TxSDGC and none of them got a good putt out of it. Stick to the up the middle line.

Despite the well worn patch of grass to the left, the actual teebox for this hole is on the right side of the tee post. This makes the obvious RHBH anhyzer shot a bit more difficult.

If you want to lay up in front of the water it's 288' from the Long/Post tee to the tree in front of the water. If you're laying up, then playing out wide to the right offers a more open shot at the basket than going left of center off the tee.
