Go around everything via the left. A turnover or strong flick thrown long enough to fade past the telephone pole makes this hole an easy par, sometimes birdie.
Whatever you do, do not go into the rough along the right. If you have a decent arm, you can scale it pretty easily though. The basket has a bank behind it so don't forget to run at it hard since you don't have to fear the comebacker.
Throw a beat up DX roller backhand. You'll get some interesting lies but it's way easier to get pin high on this hole than trying to fly under the trees.
High risk/high reward line: Go for the tightly wooded tunnel shot at a 45° angle from the tee. A hyzer flip can weave nicely through and cut that angle out completely, giving you an easier Eagle opportunity if your drive stays clean. Make sure nobody is teeing off on the previous hole though, they might think you're mad at them.
High risk/high reward line: There's a small gap to the right. Use as much ceiling as you can and throw something overstable that will skip a bit (I use a Vector) and you'll get a birdie putt every time. With practice you can also FH or thumb roll something overstable like a Banshee down that tunnel.
A lot of peeps say there is no line here. Well, here it is: It's either a flex shot or a hyzer flip that starts turning right just as you pass the last big tree in the middle (just to the right of the red arrow in the picture). It's more open than it looks over there so when in doubt, err on the right side of the fairway because the magnolia tree and left is no good. A perfect shot will straighten out as it passes over that mud hole and fade in around the last trees. Good for 2 aces, I guarantee it. ; )
