The slope of the hill isn't good for a flick. The disc will tend to skip off and down the hill.

If you can get this far enough to clear the edge of the cliff then you're usually good. If you flick it and it goes too far right you could be in trouble if it clears the cliff though.

Although this is a very short hole it's really easy to have your disc roll away.

A flick is certainly preferable on this hole. The slope of the rock it's on tends to allow backhand shots to skip away.

You can use the rocks behind the basket as a backstop for your throw. It's sandy and the disc doesn't go far.

Besides the obvious of avoiding the crevasse, you will also want to avoid flicking it all together. It's hard rock on the other side with little or nothing to stop it from skipping off the edge of the cliff. If it does happen to you may as well re-tee.
