- The tree just next to the tee can be distracting to new players. Take a few steps to the left of the tree to get some space.
- New players can throw full power here.
New players try this approach:
- Shot 1: throw to the base of the hill with your fairway driver or midrange, or slightly up it if you can.
- Shot 2: throw your midranged disc at a hyzer angle, trying to get the disk to stick on the landing at the top. Aim just behind the basket to make sure your disc does not come back down.
- Shot 3: A short putt.
- Beginners can throw full power on this hole.
- Be careful not to overthrow when putting. Putts are prone to roll down the hill towards the road.
- Thows shanked to the right might go into the road, or even across the street. Throws shanked to the left will go into the tree.
New players: Use a hyzer shot to curve around these trees. To do so (RHBH - Right Hand Back Hand) tilt the disc such that it slopes away from you (left/far side of the disc down) about 25 degrees as you release it. Make sure not to sling it directly into one of the trees on either side of the tee.
- Be careful not to overthrow - this hole is deceptively short thanks to the downhill. Putts are especially prone to rolling down the hill towards the road.
- Keep your disc low to avoid hitting the overhanging branches, but beware of the chain fence (added after the picture was taken).
- With a road to the right and an often crowded playground to the left, shanks can be dangerous to other park-goers, cars, and your discs; new players may wish to use a "spotter" to catch any poorly released throws.
- The concrete base that the picnic bench sits on can damage rolling discs.
- When putting, be careful not to overthrow and roll down the hill towards the road.
