Go back up the narrow path to the 12th tee and cross the path to your right, and you'll see hole 18 is an open, upslope shot that is only going to be troubled by a bad headwind. Have at it with a full drive, if you've got 300 feet of 'D'.

Though it looks as if a dead straight as a rope shot can get in close, this fairway deceptively mimics hole 16's: there's a good deal of open space finishing in from the left side. And with the creek drop off not far to the right of the fairway and the green, that's the side to stay on, if beeline straight isn't an option.

The first half of 16's fairway looks 'do-able', but the trees in the middle thicken up, making an 'S;' hooking shot that finishes left to right the very best line, so left hand backhanders or right hand forehanders with considerable control have the best run at it. Lucky right hand backhanders have been known to get in pretty close, but I honestly am not sure how my disc did that. ;)

Walk forward a little to locate the exact basket position down the right-bending lane, then park your Comet (slight rhbh anny) by getting it to JUST slip by the left side fairway bend tree. Or be prepared for disappointment, and make a good upshot, because it IS a pretty tight line.

Plays much 'shorter' than 13, due to the down slope. You want to come in from the right, as there may be folks hidden by the minimal foliage, at the 15th tee on the left. For me, this tends to be a Teebird shot, and a prayer that I can slip through the grove of trees guarding the basket. Note: I think there's actually a small creek if you gun really long, but the foliage is very thick there, so water's not the worst of your troubles if you go there.

Walk across the footbridge, and turn right around the wood line to the 13th tee. This hole has enough slope to play a good 50 feet longer than stated, and the OB paths long and right are far enough away to cause little concern for all but the biggest and wildest arms. I throw driver here, but I only have about 300' of 'D'.

Walk up the narrow path and out to the longest and most open hole on the course. 11 has a huge, wide open fairway to the right of the line of trees angling across in front of you, so you just need to decide: do you have the bomber arm needed to go over or hyzer out to the right, or will you need to drive accurately between the first two? That's what I have to do (with a Tern, rhbh). The only really miserable place on the hole to avoid would be getting hung up in the pine directly between you and the basket. Avoid!

The difference on 11 is the V shaped tree trunks blocking the left side of the fairway, but the hole is shorter and more visible than the last two, so right handers can repeat. There's a pretty good backstop at the basket, so this is even more of an ace run. If it's wet, watch your step on the roots and rocks mid-fairway.

9, 10 & 11 are very similar in length and best shot selection. 10 bends a little less severely, but I'm staying with my Buzzz (rhbh), and letting it fade just slightly.

Hole nine starts with a tight lane you need to hit, then widens out and finishes significantly to the left and slightly downslope. Focus on the gap first and foremost by aming for that curving line down the middle of the fairway, and let the natural fade (rhbh) of your midrange disc (I throw Buzzz here) do its work.
