Finishing with yet another ace run, anything that gets you just past the fir tree on the right will usually leave you in range for a deuce on 18.

A floating shot that runs left to right will usually suffice on 17. I toss an anny (rhbh) mid, like a Comet or a really beat dx Roc.

One of the few remaining tricky lines left here, hole 15 has a lane that arcs left to right, but it's tight. Some folks now step into a more direct shot by angling left to right diagonally on the tee and shoot the more and more open line over the rough on the right.

Another of the many ace runs at Winton Woods, a putter thrown (rhbh) just a hair high to the right gives you your best chance at fading in for the satisfaction.

The best lane to the basket here is an S-shot that turns over slightly (rhbh) then fades back gently left to the pin. One more time, please be courteous, patient and safe, because the next tee is no more than 30 or 40 feet past, and directly in line with your shot.

The longest hole on the course has an obvious straight lane, with a left to right finish, and you don't want to skip into the woods downhill left. But what a lot of folks don't realize is that there are 1 or 2 real lanes on the right, as well, so if your drive gets out to the right, it often can run quite a way to the pin.

There are only a few trees left here on 10 to force your choice of lines. Going straight at this one doesn't have too much danger, as overthrows often are stopped by the brush and still in putting range. Be aware if you choose a right to left line, that the next tee is over there (play safe!).

This ace run hole seems to play slightly shorter than it looks, and a too-direct line often skips past for a trickier comeback putt than you want.

With the number of trees getting removed here, this once only left to right shot has opened up lanes for a rhbh fade shot, as well. Note the 9th tee is pin high, on the left side of the fairway (caution again, please).

For some reason, this hole always seems to play a little bit longer than it looks, to me. So I need to throw with a little more authority (something straight with little fade). Of course, it's another spot where the next tee is directly past your line, so caution and patience is needed.
