So, how did you play today? Part II

although i missed my best score this year at my home course this year by a stroke i had 3 outside the circle putts that totaled 132 ft. 2 for birdie 1 for par. i also straightened out my forehand (accurate) drive to about 270' with a slight change. at 65 i feel like it was a good day. tied with...

How did you find disc golf? What does it mean to you now? Where do you see it going?

being a yard Frisbee player since 1965 (at 6 years old) as soon as a friend saw a disc golf course in 1981 and told me about it i was hooked. i benefitted from the fact that Steve Wisecup was our course pro and the daily players were Doug Thompson and Slate Paul (who i played with on his first...

2024 Play It Again Sports Jonesboro Open

Kristin is to the FPO what Mcbeth was to the MPO 10 yrs ago. you have to have a complete physical game along with an adult attitude and mental fortitude to win. personally i really like Holyn Handleys game and Ohns antics make for an enjoyable watch. i now look forward to watching the edited...

    First sanctioned event--scoring

when cell phones first became a thing is just about when i stopped going to tournaments of any kind (or playing in random groups for that matter). that was long before there were requirements to carry one on the course.

at 65 (forehand dominant) i am still throwing my 156 Bosses as a main driver. i now carry only 1 Nuke (158 12 yrs in the bag), 3 Bosses (2 domey U/S) and a flat top G-Star 158 for a meat hook. the rest of my bag consists of a CE Leopard 156, a champion Roadrunner 160 and 6 putters. if the trend...

    The Open At Austin

we just call it "natural OB" you don't get to move back to the fairway. it's probably going to take a throw or two to get back to it ,so i'm guessing it could be more stressful .it all works out in the end, off the fairway is a bad thing. after 43 years playing i wish i could remember that on...

    The Open At Austin

went and checked in on the "old guys" Mcbeth and Simon. looks to me they are getting back in the groove. erasing their blemishes their scores would be top third or above after 2 days. plenty of time for a top 10 run on a hot day. Paul is just getting started this year. JMO

whats up with the lack of Waco thread

i nave come here a few times in the past 3 days or so to see discussions AKA opinions on the Waco 2024 tour stop. i'm not seeing anything, should i be boycotting this tournament for some political statement or another reason? i got really excited for Nate Sextons / Ricky W's play and of course...

    Forehand advice

this is much more important than most think. i guess it is human nature to think that heavier is better. when i started in the early 80's some players would glue pennies to the bottom of a whamo so they could muscle them out further without a massive flip. you almost never saw anyone throw a...
