The little live-stream that I watched, it seemed like Robert did a good job of calling out what discs the players were throwing, even when they weren't DD/Trilogy. Innova, Discmania, Discraft, he noted players throwing discs if he had an idea what disc it was.
It blew my mind that JohnE could mess up that ruling, and that no one on the card noticed.
It's honestly one of the simpler rules at the Country Club; You go OB on the tee, you go drop zone. No matter what.
This is why I've started using UDisc even in events that don't do live scoring.
All I have to do is verify the numbers on the card match the numbers I have, and then I know the score in the app is going to be right.
No counting at all.
I think this is a good point that shouldn't be overlooked.
I have to imagine one of the main driving points for the rule was to protect AMs from this kind of thing.
I'll of course have to wait to see the video, but it's hard for me to say it's better than maple hill. Definitely fountain though.
Anyone know what the old course record was? He beat the course record by 5 at maple.

Open throw with no danger? You might see some guys reach for a higher speed, but that's not common. Big Jerm was throwing a Pro Boss for a while but you...
Can you elaborate a bit more on this? I'm not trying to be accosting, genuinely curious.
I thought most touring pros appreciated less courses to practice at these events. Any specific reasons?
I'm late to the basket discussion, but I think it's hilarious that people insist that the consensus best player in the World, back to back World Champion, and probably the best putter ever, needs to change his putting style to accommodate for the baskets.
It's laughable.
I know that I bought a disc with that same stamp, 10/10 for like $25ish a few months ago. Great generation of Rocs, but the stamp itself isn't anything special.
GBO Definitely needs to be moved to either summer or fall, especially if they plan to continue to use Olpe.
This is Kansas weather in April, it rains and storms. Either it will do so before the event and courses like Olpe will be a disaster, or it will do it during the event and rounds will be...
