Does anyone understand the mando on the slightly-redesigned hole #10? Is the mando just the sign? Is it the big tree that's 10-15 feet behind the sign? The sign at the tee doesn't help as it actually shows a line for shots that clearly violate the mando.

Don't make a special trip
Located on some of the ski slopes of the Shanty Creek resort, there are some fun elevation changes and amazing views of Lake Bellaire and the surrounding area. There are a few interesting lines shaped by trees. The stated pars were ridiculously high, but if you've...

Unfulfilled Potential
Cascade Township Park has a fairly decent disc golf course. Much of it is wide open and forgiving, there are some entertaining elevation changes, and a nice shift in setting for holes 12-15 (from wide open to heavily wooded). Hole 15 is a little silly at 83 feet downhill...

The HILLS are alive...
The hills stand out at this course, and they could fall into either the "pro" or "con" category. On the pro side, the hills make for some really interesting holes, with a great variety - steeply uphill, steeply downhill, both up and down in the same hole, steep slopes...

A decent local course
Do you like oak trees? Then you'll looooooovvvvve Jaycee Park! This is a course that finds most of its challenge in trees and elevation changes, and even then the elevation changes aren't drastic. Trees are used to shape the holes and determine your shot selection, with...

Quite decent for our "home" course
Old Farm contains a pleasant variety of holes, from very short to "long" (based on beginner standards), from wide open to densely wooded, from flat to hilly, and from straight to curved. There's a little bit of water to negotiate. I think the variety is by...

Functional but nothing special
A decent course for taking some kids and playing a quick half-round. Nothing extremely short, but nothing burdensomely long either. Most holes have some woods or danger on one side, but with a wide open space on the opposite side. Hole 4 runs right along the...

Old Trees, Old Park, Decent Disc Golf
This is a pleasant course in the middle of Grand Rapids. It's friendly to all skill levels. There are more than enough trees to get in your way, but no underbrush for you to lose your discs into. Most of the holes are similar in nature, but there's just...

Be accurate, or don't have fun
Pretty, wooded, and picturesque. Some nice peeks at the water along the way. A few very long holes, but most of them are a reasonable length. Everything was pretty much in good shape.
The navigation was pretty easy. Some interesting elevation changes and...

Worth a little bit of a drive
Multiple tee pads: all in good shape, all well marked and signed, and gives you the possibility of playing it differently on another visit. Playing with my boys (ages 10 and 13) we enjoyed playing the short tees together. Even the long tees wouldn't be a huge...
