Surprisingly good city course
Layout of the course in a relatively small area.
There are a few wide open or mostly open holes, a few with some trees, several holes through the woods but with clearly marked fairways, and some pretty tight fairways. Something for everybody.

Great park setting
Very scenic park, big old growth trees, moderate elevation, and a few holes where you can throw over water.
The baskets have blue and gold paint on the top spokes pointing the way to the next blue and gold tees; very helpful for first timers here.

Nice woods course
Some woods courses have so many trees in the fairways that you just have to throw it and pray, but for a woods course Dorey has clearly designated fairways so the trees are still a challenge, but you won't feel frustrated by not having throwing lanes.
