These pics of the course are a few years old now. Loved it a bit more back then, but now it's got concrete tees and their are buildings going up all around it now and some o' the layouts are a bit different now-- holes 1 & 2 are pretty much a joke now. Still a fun little course though.

Very Tight, Very Beautiful...
Course is set on a very scenic area along the North San Gabriel River.
Very challenging and fun if you're looking for a great "precision" course.
The course doesn't get near as crowded as others in the Austin-area.
Lotta birdie opportunities throughout, and a few...

Great 9 hole, but...
Has 3 par 4's and 1 par 5 which makes for an enjoyable course for intermediate players and up, unlike most 9-holes.
All the tees are fairly easy to find, especially with a map of course.
Lotta shade.
Now they got signs, though they're a bit crappy-- thin plywood.

Great 9 Hole
Best 9 hole I've ever played! Since there's only 2 reviews on here I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth and my star rating. You get the idea of what this course has to offer from the other reviews.
Designed by John Houck-- nuff said.
None I can think of. If this course was...

Good Beginner's 18 Hole
The pictures are too old to get a good idea for this course. Everything's filled out and good and green; in the Springtime anyways.
Most holes in the 200' - 250' range. Think the longest was around 300'.
Great for newcomers to the sport.
Love the big pond with the...

Better Than I Thought
Course has some good distance on a few o' the later holes.
Hole 6 was my favorite-- a long slight dogleg right, I would almost rate it a par 4.
Pretty easy access if you happen to throw over the fence anywhere on the edge of the school property via multiple gateways...

Best Niner in Austin
I tend to like more precision courses, so I enjoyed this one, even though it's primarily a mid-range course.
Benches on every tee!
Hole 8 is my favorite-- longest on the course, has you shooting through a fairly tight "gateway" guarded by a big oak, downhill a bit to the...

Pretty good re-design
All the tees are very easy to find and marked with posts after the re-design; still dirt though.
Glad they at least have one amateur par 4 on it which is # 4.
I like the openness as before, and there still are a few tighter shots to be had in that rolling field of old...

Austin-area Courses in Envy
Dual tees throughout - all big concrete pads
Signs for each tee
Plenty of elevation changes
Water in play on a few holes
Big beautiful trees
Open holes, tight holes, all shot types employed
21 holes ( some don't like 21, but I like the little bonus at the end)

Nice short course
Not many trees here but at least has scattered limestone boulders ( also used for the tee boxes) around a man-made pond with a fountain.
Hole 5 has you shooting over the pond.
The pond and its run-off creek are also in play on holes 3, 4, & 8.
Hole 7 is over 400' from tee...

Not That Great Really
Holes 3 & 4 are long enough that I can get big drives on.
Holes 6 & 8 are tomahawk/spike hyzer tees, kinda fun, though very short.
May make a good course for beginners and children.
Just too short and not laid out well
I have had the security guard that's there during...
