I just got a cryztal flx drone and I'd love to have someone dye the drone bee on it. I never really got into the whole dying thing, but I do have paypal and discs for trade for those that did! PM me if you are interested.
Thanks!
All weights are scaled. Ink is minimal unless otherwise noted. Pictures upon request. Sleepy's scale used. I have a ton of positive feedback on DGR if you are worried about trading with me.
Haves:
Discraft
174.0g Z Predator, 8/10, blackish top and greenish bottom, ink (plate)
171.6g Z...
Just one real ace for me on a 280ft. hole in my hometown, it felt good to write my name on the pin. 173g Z XL-straight as an arrow, straight the whole way.
I've got 8 more if you count my aces that didn't happen on my first shot. (unloading the bag)
There is no magic number of discs that you can carry, that will make you successful.
However, really knowing how to throw your discs well is important.
That being said, it is probably better to carry less, because you know the discs better, and you learn to manipulate them to do what you...
There are a few things that you can do to get a right turning shot, or "anhyzer".
1. Throw an understable disc: Avenger SS, Roadrunner, Express, Sidewinder, XS, TL, Wolf, Stingray, Glide, Meteor, Comet, Buzzz, XL
2. Release the disc with the left wing above the right, so the disc is pointing...
As for myself, I use a Z Crush when its a mild wind, and a Z Pred when its a heavy wind.
As for tailwind drives, I use something understable and lighter, like an ESP Surge, or a Champion Sidewinder.
The Teerex and Destroyer are excellent overstable discs, but they are not good wind discs.
What makes a good head wind disc is a notch or concavity of the wing.
i.e. Pred, Firebird
The Teerex and the Destroyer are "speed stable", meaning they won't flip because of too much speed and snap...
I separated my favs into categories :D
Distance: ESP Surge, never steered me wrong
Control: Z XL, soooooooo straigh
Overstable: Z Pred, dependable/predictable
Overall: Z Flash, so versitile, probably my all time favorite
First Run Star Cro's are really flexy and gummy, and the regular production ones are as well (just not as much).
I have have two different Star Wraiths, both 175, and they feel totally different.
Star plastic has a lot of run to run varience.
There are many discs that make good thumber/tomahawk discs.
Some of those are:
Aerobie Epic
Firebird
Max
Monster
Flick
Pred
Reaper
Spirit
Most overstable discs work well.
Disc Golf Center has been the best online retailer I have used. Free/fast shipping on all orders, and they have a rewards program.
Gotta Go Gotta Throw is the best store I've been to. Blake is so helpful and knowledgable.
