I've got the lock down version of the Phenix Quad shocks in Camo. I've had them for about a month now and they are one of the best DG investments I've made. Have not used any other brands. The fine folks on this site were all the help I needed to make my decision. They are Quality!!!
The timeline of many discers looks like this; 3(discs),6,12,22,15,12,9,6 and maybe 3 again. Going through the line is part of the fun but less discs = less strokes for most
So true!!
I have gone to only a fair way driver, Mids, and P&A. Sure is easier to play the game when you discs are...
I've got one in the Champ Plastic. It was one of the first disc I got from a neighbor who plays a lot. I throw it in the woods (off the Tee) about 80% of the time when accuracy is a must. Still learning to throw the bag, but this is a great go 2 disc for me. Love it!
I'm packing it up and going home. :) Not sure if this rook could handle big wind like that! How do you even keep a disc up and flying on a line in a wind like that?? Do you Hyzer or Anny into the wind depending on wind direction? I've never played in that much wind. Over stable is the way to...
Open, with lots of foot traffic freaks me out. Mountain Crest Park in Las Vegas is this way. No trouble around, but the people walking their dog. So trippin, about hitting someone with a disc, that the disc almost always heads in their direction! Mental midget for sure!!
Super Noodle Here! Under 300 consistently. Might feel good on some down hill on occasion. Don't mind it at all though. Short game is where it's at anyhow! Problem there is, that is in the works too!:)
I joined! Came in the Back door! My sister bought one (on line) for my son for his birthday. It's a Opto Blitz. She liked the Name!! To heavy and stable for both of us. I do like the plastic!! Will look at other disks that I can handle from them for sure!
o yea! The time together is what it's ALL about. He loves the disc sports whether its ultimate or DG. He seem to have passion in all he does with the discs. I hope he stays with it, as a lot of the courses in our area are a great work out too. You can kill two birds with one stone. Thanks...
Thanks everyone for the help. Looking forward to a few years of DG with my kids. Keep them throwing. He currently throws a 150 g ultimate sport disc well. He maxies out a good drive about 110'. We will try some of the lighter weights. Thanks for the help!
My boy just turned 6 yesterday! He wants to throw with us at the park and DG track when we go. He can throw a regular sport disc really well (for 6). He does play in a modified ultimate league with us. What transition Kids disc's should we look at? He has a Innova Birdie, Sonic, and DX Shark...
It's a cheep set up. I added end caps to the 1 1/2 PVC and it's solid! the bottom of bag has no sag to it. The whole bag seems more rigged too. I like it and for $5.50 worth of material it's worth it to me.
