I have nothing to add, other than I appreciate this discussion as I work through some injuries. The article posted about the "3 laws of strength" was interesting and the "force velocity relationship" was a new one for me -- it's lead to some new rabbit holes to fall down as I work through my...
Ha, the thumbnail for the second video is convincing of GG's form. You are right the off-arm looks off.
You look like you're pushing down with your left arm, like you are trying to get out of a pool or climbing on a box. GG looks like he pushing off a ski pole, which reminds me of the lead arm...
Surprising how much the disc warps at the hit/release! I wonder for how long it continues for or if once the disc is rotating it settles.
I'm 100% making this up, but I always imagined the plastic of a "beat-in disc" is softer then when new. Seeing how the disc warps out of the hand and how...
It's like they were listening. This video came out yesterday and covers some simple drills and exercises focused on engaging/rotating the thoracic spine while throwing a disc. The little guide to measuring thoracic spine mobility was nice.

I've come across the website Posture Direct recently which reiterates a lot of the exercises recieved from PT over the years. The design of the site and "free ebook!" made me skeptical, but it's all pretty common pt advice.
Most of these are stretches, focused on the hips and lower back. I...
To add to what you're saying, I just came across this video about the different postures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcp26v8CxJQ.
I have much less internal rotation in my right hip compared with my left hip (from a back injury) and didn't internalize how bad it was until I tried some RHBH...
I am also not an expert and I hope someone chimes in to tell me where I am wrong or misunderstanding something, but I've been reading through some research on lower back pain in golfers (trying to answer some questions about my own back with disc golf) and found some interesting bits about trunk...
Here are some videos that might help you feel the movement.
Loading the bow and arrow from seabass/sidewinder is a nice drill to get a feel for and play around with loading your upper body.

The butt wipe drill is another good one to feel how your...
Gotcha. I hope to record myself doing the elephant walk, it feels like a natural way to feel weight shift and backswing timing -- I'll be curious how it looks recorded.
On the spectrum of stride styles (inline, neutral, staggered/wider), where would Tristian Tanner's land...
Thanks, the inline and inline neutral stride seems clear.
I understand (I think) how the elephant walk looks from a standstill, but I'm curious to see some examples of it looks coming out of a run up.
This is cool! Similar products keep popping up and disappearing, maybe we'll start seeing some of them come to market soon.
Some what related: I came across this the other day, a study looking at the biomechanics between Ams vs Pros at Waterloo. Setup looks similar to the one Chris Taylor used...
Nothing major to report, only subtle feels. After a few days with the drills, mostly loaded bow and open/closed I went back to the field.
Back swing timing is slowly improving. I forget to pump most throws, so will stop with it for now and focus on other parts.
Loading the bow has helped me...
Talk about planting open foot...
I've seen Eagle do this for upshots in the past, but never noticed it was this pronounced. His hip mobility is impressive!
