Thoughts on a baseball style windup?

I saw Drew Gibson do something like take a step to the side before throwing. This would be for midrange/approach shots only. I was in the field today messing around and I held my disc at the plane I wanted it on, but acting like a pitcher on the rubber I took a step to the side, then slowly...

Throwing 10-15 feet right on every drive

This is exactly what I meant!

Throwing 10-15 feet right on every drive

I’m probably late to the party and didn’t read the whole thing but I had this same exact issue. Try seeing if your plant foot is lined up with your back foot. If so, try stepping a bit more forward with your plant foot so that the heel lines up with the toe of your back foot. Adjust as needed.

How does a 450 feet+ backhand drive feel like?

My longest is 430’ but in Denver so I think at sea level it would have gone 450’. Nothing feels tense. The run up felt balanced and loose. The reach back felt long but not overextended. It all felt effortless except during the smash where it felt like that satisfying pop of a beer bottle...

    Mental game

Go to a field and do some field work, but slow everything down. Start with low speed discs and just try to get back to a consistent form. Once you’re able to throw your putters/mid ranges on a consistent basis, then you can move up to drivers. For me, when I get out of whack, I bring it back...

How do you all go about form work during the season, if at all?

I’m always working on my form except during the actual tournaments. I’m an over thinker but I think it helps to always work on it. It keeps the mental game going, and I never want to be satisfied. I want to constantly improve and the one time I don’t work on it and just throw for fun, is a...

    1776 Words About Putting

I had my best putting practice session yesterday. I have nothing to do at work (well, I do, but I’d rather talk disc golf) so I figured I could write out what happened and share with the community. Perhaps someone, even just one person, could learn something and it could help their game as...

    Wrist bend on James Conrad

So I’ve always wondered about proper wrist technique. I’ve read before where bending it doesn’t help. But this photo of James Conrad shows otherwise. Does anyone have good clarification for me? https://www.tvguidetime.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/James-Conrad.png

Discovering the weakness in my putts!

If you’re missing high and to the right, something that I did a lot, try leaning slightly over your front foot. I watched a lot of Heimburg recently and saw him doing that. Once I did it, my putts started going a lot straighter.
