Review by fociP in course The Cedars at Green Haven

3.50 star(s) Great Winter Course I appreciate the use of golf courses in the winter, way better than just letting such a big piece of land sit 5 months out of the year! Overall a decent variety of uphill/downhill/flat, forehand/backhand mix. Some of the trees here are gigantic, forcing a low ceiling shot...

Review by fociP in course Riverfront Regional Park

3.50 star(s) Fun wooded course Easy access, lots of parking and other park activities are close by. Dual tees, and the shorts often require a completely different shot, not just the same drive but starting 50 feet closer. Playing both or alternating is a good way to mix things up if you come here often...

2.50 star(s) Cones are showing their age The cone baskets are a piece of disc golf history, whatever that is good for. Lots of ace runs if you can find a way to get the cones to catch something moving quickly. Easy parking and clean toilets. Not much chance for creativity, just about every hole is best...

[Millennium] Omega: The Alpha and the

Another P2 thrower here, I got an ET Omega 4 and it is filling the gap left by my lost stiff P-line P2. It has a tiny bit more flex but very similar flight and feel.

Why is Random Draw Doubles so popular?

I've really enjoyed random dubs as my first steps into actual competition after 18 months of casual play. Partners have ranged from a 965 rated local to an 8 year old with a knack for hyzer putting. I always have fun, and I'm learning a lot playing with people who are overall better than me...

    [Prodigy] Prodigy Plastics - Comprehensive

Forgive me reviving a dead thread. I've got a 400G M1 that I've been throwing all summer and fall, but the disc is grayish-white and southern Minnesota had 3 inches of snow overnight. Should I buy 400G again in a better color for winter or get a different plastic?

Review by fociP in course Wabun Picnic Area (Minnehaha Park)

2.50 star(s) EZ but great for learning putters/mids Clever use of the space to create challenge while still being very friendly to new players. Course flow is a bit weird but everything is marked okay. Probably my favorite course for bringing new players. A great spot to get to know a new putter or mid...

Review by fociP in course Silverview DGC

1.50 star(s) Very tight Baskets were all in acceptable condition. Safely winds away from the playground and picnic area while being an easy walk from the parking lot. Unless you have an excellent forehand and a bag with very overstable discs, several holes really have no line. Lots of little branches...

3.50 star(s) CONES CONES CONES Good use of space overall. Mixture of open/technical and elevation allows for a decent variety over the 12 holes. Cone baskets are "interesting" to use a Minnesota Nice term. Everybody has to deal with them and you will never be so happy to make a putt from 15 feet. I think...
