Stroke and distance for a lost disc

You can not just declare a provisional and have a choice of which shot to use. The way I see it is there are 2 ways provisional are used. 1. When the player disagrees with the group and/or there is a split decision pertaining to a ruling. The player will play the hole from when the rule...

Stroke and distance for a lost disc

I must have misunderstood your original post then. I still think the rule is fine having to take the stroke and distance. If we are talking about non-competitive disc golf, then do what you want. I've played rounds with friends were we have told each other to just throw from where they believe...

Stroke and distance for a lost disc

I think you might be playing golf wrong, but I'm not a rules expert. When you lose a ball in golf you are penalized a stroke and distance, same with out of bounds. I'm pretty sure 27-1-C in the rules of golf cover that. Also in Disc golf going out of bounds is only a stroke penalty were as in...

Throwing a Partner's Disc During Doubles

I think removing the disc from the basket before you ask the other player to remove it would be a violation of the rule as it says that you may ask for the person to remove themselves or belongs from your stance or line of play. While I think this is far fetched I still believe that there is...

Throwing a Partner's Disc During Doubles

But then I still say your interfering with another players disc, which was my original argument. A basket is still going to be in proper working order, even with a disk in it.

Throwing a Partner's Disc During Doubles

I'll address the second paragraph first. I agree, I know that, that is not what I'm "arguing." Also I'm doing this in good fun, devils advocate, as to create conversation and dialog. It's going to be a long slow day at work :). Since the player holed out and did not retrieve his disc you could...

    Legality of sanding discs???

You could add stuff to you hands to get a better grip instead. Yeah you might need to wipe your disc a little more often so the build up of the additive doesn't add weight or thickness to the disc, but you would have better grip. This could even be a glove that you use just for putting as well.

Throwing a Partner's Disc During Doubles

It would be a stretch but I would argue to give you a 2 stroke penalty using 804.03.D.2: D. A player who intentionally interferes with another player's disc in any of the following ways shall receive two penalty throws. .... 2.Moving a thrown disc or mini marker disc(other than in the...

Central Coast Disc Golf - CCDG vids

I'm not sure if you done an AMA with CCDG but that would be cool. Also I've looked through most of the pages but didn't see any mention of it, but what kind of camera and software do you use?

    Keeping confident/positive

One thing that has helped me is to adopt the mindset of "Playing for par gets you birdies, playing for birdies gets you bogeys"

    Mini DG App

TBH I would love to see an app that did this but took it a step further. I want players to be able to keep score on their device using a scorecard app that uploads the score to said database and the TD doesn't need to enter every bodies score themselves. But still have the ability to add score...

    Par Talk

So if you don't have a chance at a 2 then its a "3 or die hole"? Wouldn't the argument then be if its not a "3 or die hole" a "2 or die hole"?

    Par Talk

Thanks lyleoross. I think then we would have to make sure that NT's and Majors that the courses are designed for the touring pros and not the average player that will frequent the course more often most likely, unless the go the way of multiple tee boxes. I've yet to see a golf course that only...

    Par Talk

I know I'm coming to the discussion late but I wanted to putt some thoughts out there. I started to read from the beginning but got about 7 pages in and skipped to the end, I apologize if I bring up some of the same old stuff. I think the issue we have is that courses are already established...
