    ODRB ITB

Having intermittently seen this thread for years but not at all for the last year or two, I notice that you're no longer throwing Destroyers, Gazelles, or Wizards. Obviously the Toro explains the Zone going away, but I also don't remember you bagging Rhynos or a Sonic before. Could you please...

Venom a Speed 13?? Rim Width Comparison.

Just picked up a new Venom. In case anyone is interested, the rim width is .860” according to my calipers. For comparison, a brand new ESP Force measures .880” and is also a hair sharper on the leading edge. A Surge/Thrasher/Punisher/Machete measure .840”, so this new Venom is right between...

Naming convention cancelled; moved to online only.

300g was a pretty good tennis racquet by Dunlop about 20 years ago. No idea what the different plastic types are from Prodigy, no interest to figure it out, and have never bought/will never buy one of their discs for that reason.

Fee threshold for success of private courses.

Haven’t read the whole thread, so maybe this has been mentioned: You have to pay to play golf and putt-putt because there are no free courses and you can’t feasibly mow your lawn that short to play at home. The only option is to go play where it costs money. As long as there are so many free...

You've got the look, you've got the hook...

Sex sells. Isn’t that just about the number one rule in advertising? That’s why they have professional beach volleyball. Shame people all you want, but it’s literally genetically programmed into us- along with pretty much all other sexually-reproducing life forms. Without it we might as well be...

Do fans pay to watch major tournaments in person?

I watched Ledgestone one day in 2018 and didn’t pay a dime to attend. Went to Worlds on Saturday the next year at Northwoods and I think I paid $10 to park. I’m thinking they might have started charging admission since.

    Building the minimalist bag

I’ve played some of my best rounds with only a Firebird and either a Mortar or Gator. Most of the courses I’ve played have a majority of the holes around ~325’ and closer. Don’t need much more to birdie most of those holes.

    Ricky Wysocki #38008

When you were on DD? As in sponsored by them? If so, then you’ve probably thrown a much larger sample size than me. I just know that the 2 Lucid Defenders I have are at least as overstable as the 2 Lucid Enforcers I used to have. Ive never thrown a Stiletto, but I think I’ve thrown enough PD2’s...

The Inevitable 2022 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

And also, good for MJ. I bought a sig series Comet in 2018 just because of how genuinely nice of a person he seemed to be while I was watching guys tee off on hole 1 at Ledgestone.

The Inevitable 2022 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

Looks like Infinite signed Cole Redalen.

    Ricky Wysocki #38008

He was. Enforcers break in to be not so beefy. Rim width is the same as a Wraith. I think he still might have bagged a Defender back then for more beef, but I can’t recall for sure. The Ballista Pro suggestion was just because it was also new about the time Ricky left. Heck, he might do well...

    Ricky Wysocki #38008

I think that might also be his step-mom, but not 100% sure. I’d rather see Ricky with DD. Ricky with a Dagger is better than Ricky with any version of the Aviar. He doesn’t do anything with a Pig that he wasn’t already doing as well with a Harp. Right before he left, they had just come out with...

    [Discmania] Evolution Enigma

Yes. Scorpius, Destroyers, DD3’s, PD2’s, Xcals, and Shrykes are all .910ish”. But they are never the same throughout the rim on the same disc. Some spots might measure .915”, some might be .905”- on the same disc. I believe Ballista Pros are .910” also or maybe .915”, but it’s been awhile and...

My adventures in measuring distance (and other musings)

Laser rangefinders have been accurate to +/- a yard for probably 20 years now. I have a really old and inexpensive Brunton model and a slightly less old and much more expensive Leica that have never given me any problems- provided I’m not trying to bounce the laser off something impossibly small...
